I got my issue today, and it's my favorite one in years. It's quite possible that
Lucky's benefiting from the lowered expectations I had going in. The issue's only 118 pages, and I'm not a fan of Conrad.
But I saw at least 10-15 items that I would buy in a perfect world; as everyone's pointed out, they've started to feature pricier items. There have been issues where I didn't want a single item of clothing, so I found this one invigorating. The best surprise, however, was the editorial with Rose Byrne. She's my number one style icon; if only she were on the cover!
Random bits:
- Conrad's "fit tips for the lazy" was just as stupid as I imagined it would be. They should leave this type of fitness "advice" to
Cosmopolitan.
- The Lucky girl was recently featured on Jeana Sohn's blog Closet Visit (as was the Lucky girl for last month). I just found that interesting.
- I completed one of their online surveys a few months ago. When asked whom I most wanted to see on the cover, I said Rose. So, I'll take credit for the editorial.
