Mad Men

Everybody is just a little crazy this season, except for Joanie. Don is not liking this new Megan, I mean he tries to rationalize it, but that´s also a ticking bomb. I´d say the money is going to be a problem there, or at least the fuse that will ignite the fire.

Most people believe Pete will go postal.

I also liked Alexis Bledel. She was very annoying in Gilmore Girls (but it suited the character, at least). It seems that she grown as an actress. I'd like to think this isn't the last we've seen of her, but I think it was just a guest appearance.

She was wonderful, however this episode was the first one i thought to be a bit boring, they are really bent on showing Don as getting old, and not understanding the new times.

Last episode was so sad also. Betty is in hell, she surely messed all up but she cannot blame anyone but herself. Don is showing his mean side, he can be nasty.
Sally is also dealing with a lot, it´s so true how little girls emotions can be so tricky and complex. She´s also a little manipulator.

with each episode, I love this show more and more. it's just amazing. I got used to Megan and I think she handled the situation with Sally well.
but I must say I love Roger and I find him extremely charming.

Roger is very handsome, but he´s is quite selfish. I cannot believe she erased Joanie of his life just like that...

That's exactly what he wants you to believe

^ It is most likely so but I still can't help myself, my knees still get weak. And I do agree with newprincesita about Joanie ... I still hope they will end up together.
To be honest, all the other guys aren't exactly saints either ... which is what I love about them, they all make mistakes, they aren't perfect, they are human. Although some of the things they do really are a bit absurd.

^Completely true, like for example Pete's obsession with Alexis Bledel. It's absurd but I guess it's somethinglike: 'work hard, play hard'. Otherwise the only thing that leaves them is frustrations...

I want more Joanie on the series, she wasn't in last episode, I hope she'll be in the next!

IKR, Pete and Alexis Bledel? he's almost obssessed with her or something...
I miss Joanie too, she's so amazingly calm in this chaos.

^^^Yay we all want a dense, thick Joanie episode. I want to know what´s going on in her life this days..

I don't really understand why she's not in it, with her newborn and divorce, there's plenty of interesting stuff to show us
Also, I can't exactly tell why but I find the Betty-is-fat-story very boring ...

I actually find Betty's story line fascinating. Like in the last episode, at some point there's a reference to "thin people" and it makes her twitch. She's not the young model she used to be and the parallel with Don, surrounded and threatened by all these young creatives is riveting.
They have nasty and manipulative attitude when confronted with these new challenges, whether it's Don with Ginsberg or Betty with Megan.
It's 2 sides of the same coin, both struggle with the fact that they're not the hip and hot young thing anymore. That's one universal theme rarely shown with such finesse on tv.

^^So true Aby! Don and Betty were "it" years ago, and now Don doesn´t "get" rock music, and Betty is totally out of the loop. Great show. It´s a pity they make so few episodes each season...

Thanks for this, I didn't think of it in that way and you're right. I'm gonna watch the show from a whole new perspective now

Another great episode! imo this might be one of their best seasons ever

Good season so far but not enough joan! Need more joanie in my life

The whole show is a true reflection of that era. All the things men did at work and behind their wives' backs, the corporate business, the perfect housewife, etc. It's an amazing show very true to the time they're representing and yet so current and modern.
