Ok, so we have a thread on 'online magazines', we have numerous threads on each of our all time favourite magazines, but i wanted to start a thread on those wacky little indie, online, and small print run magazines that not many people know about. Or they might even be well known but you jumped on a little late to the bandwagon, and suddenly realised the brilliance of the eds fashion pages, the witty columns etc^_^

Hopefully by the end people can share their favourite, or you can find others you've never heard of before,

here are a few that i have come accross this year that i quite like,

Preen magazine,
www.preenmag.com/

SummerWinter
www.summerwinter.com/

Chief magazine (they have quite wacky and er inventive eds)
www.chiefmag.com

lifelounge magazine
www.lifelounge.com/

..some of these arent entirely fashion magazines, but they are very centred around 'style'.

recent find .. .but i think im a little behind the curve with this one

Fantastic idea for a thread.

It's relatively well-known mostly due to Susie Bubble's work...

this thread was great! what happened..we should start it up again..2008 underground finds are abound

:)

Here's my list:

encens (biannual, French, completely brilliant even if you can't read it)

Let Them Eat Cake (really good writing, not just puff pieces like many mags have)

LURVE (I remember them mainly because Issue 1 launched at the same time as LOVE, and I had a giggle over the names)

Also, Acne Paper (it's MASSIVE, A3 size but such amazing content- I nearly bought their Erotica issue last year but stopped myself because it was so expensive- and then kicked myself later)

And I second the nominations for metro.pop and doingbird. There are a lot of other brilliant mags out there too, which aren't European/American/Aussie (I love Russh). I particularly like Vogue Girl Korea and Japan (even though they're Conde Nast titles and therefore mainstream, they have amazing editorials and tend to keep things really fresh and fun).
