you know,it's actually not bad. i see ivana wanted to expand on MM's signature trompe l'oeil. it's a very sophisticated result but quirky. to me this is how i would imagine veronique branquinho doing MMM,which isn't a bad thing at all.

I agree Scott: Except that the trompe l'oeil painted outline design on the jackets are straight out of Gaultier's A/W 1989 collection: Gaultier's were in bright Lego colors. I like her version in neutrals.

I like her approach: It's a touch monastic, very refined and sleek and looks expensive, and still maintains that deadpan sense of the surreal wit that Martin injected when he was designing. None of this looks desperate, gimmicky or forced, and best of all, she shows a sophisticated restraint in her design. I do appreciate that in a designer.

my first reaction is that it's cute...
which is not a word i usually associate with MMM...
but it's hard to find fault with any of it...

the long sleeves are kind of annoying, as are the boot leggings...
but the bag definitely makes me smile...

Oh my, this is perfection... I love every single look, all the details are tastefully composed, the proportions harmonic and on point...! This is accessible fashion without selling out on the MMM identity. Bravo!

this is why so far i've been surprisingly impressed with what omazic has brought to the table. there does seem to be an overlying genuine understanding of MM's language without it coming across as sheer mockery but also without compromising the need to move forward with a different direction. a lot of respect for the way she's guided the house aesthetics so far.

phuel,well MM is sort of from that school of gaultier so i can see the parallel but MM actually further expanded on that trompe l'oeil technique,using that negative photo look and it eventually became part of his signature work.

Aparentely, I'm always going to be dissappointed with what has become of this brand.
