What flatters a brunette?

I just recently went back to being a brunette (after going through a blonde phase). I feel like I need to re-learn what make up works for me because the way I had been doing it just looks silly and over done. So I thought I'd start a thread. Any tips for brunettes?

i just realized that shades of golden and some blush look good on me, and then just apply some mascara

but i have blue eyes, naturally tanned skin and almost black hair from all the colouring, so that looks good on me. as tatika said we need more information on you

my skin is light, but more golden than pink...I tan basically, I have green/hazel eyes...Ha ha, to answer the size which may be of my eyes(relatively large-best feature if I have any), or otherwise I'm 5'9 and I have a longish face. My hair is long and more of a medium brown. I just always feel like I'm pushing overdone..or worse yet just plain looking most of the time.

I usually HATE red lipstick on anyone, even if it is the right tone, BUT I like it on brunettes. Contrasts their dark hair.

I used to always wear dark eye make-up. But now I'm a lipstick wh*re. Just because I can get away with it so much better.

umm i dont dont usually wear makeup but if i have the ability to splurge on makeup, i like wearing lips colour (lol like those lol girls trying to be grownup) for day then play up my eye (pretend to be a innocent sex kitten/sexy lil bunny/wutever u callthose) for night

but brunette have diffrent skin tone too. im have a snow white complexion so i tend to choose and bright, clear colour....

I use plums, greys and browns for the eyes and natural lipgloss
or red lips and eyeliner together with mascara for the eyes.
