this is a good campain so far...
I like the first one posted... it has an "art" side... i've seen young artists doing this "mini" thing already... like corean artist Ham Jin

I like it so far; it really does make you look closer at the images themselves.

I suppose we'll find out with time. 17 certainly seems like a great deal of models for one campaign.

i have no idea why those pics made me feel like i am in the middle of a desert :lol:

On one hand, it's a smart idea to go for image framing that'll set it apart from all the other ads - at the same time, when I see that much white space on a page, I'm itching to start scribbling notes on it.

People keep talking about how magazines are going to end up online - I think this ad is a very good example of why that's not going to be a great success on every count - because this is exactly the type of ad that you need to see 'for real' to appreciate. The scan does it no justice at all, but we know the real thing will feel very different, and will have a different effect on the eye when you're physically flicking through the issue.

The ad in person looks really cool in my opinion. I'd hate for magazines to end up online if it does happen in the future. The convenience would be completely gone.

I LOVE this campaign! It's so stylistic and clean. I love that Marc Jacobs changed things up a bit for this campaign, although it's still distinctively Marc Jacobs/Jerugen Teller.
As for being super tiny, I personally don't think it's that important to see the clothes in detail in and ad. You can go to the store or shop online if you really like the season's collection.

#31 This one is pretty but still a typical style of MJ, which is so boring to me..

I like them, because the are so tiny! It looks arty, almost like a painting! And the head shot of Cicely is very nice too! :woot:

I love the fact that you can see the photographer's reflection n the sunglasses in Cecily's shot.
I like these so far...can't wait to see the rest.

Continuing to encourage the usage of a microscope...

Caroline Demarqui, Danielle Hamm, Cicely Telman, and Mina Cvetkovic

Scanned by me from W August and Vogue US August

I still think it's a good and original concept, but I don't like the game he is playing with us.

The scale feels rather poignant, especially considering the personal difficulties he addressed once he wrapped up in Paris. It also seems to echo the general feel of the show. Rewatching it today, I wondered if people could really see the details, the set design put so much space between the girls and the audience. Once the last girl (Barsukova?) made her final turn, she seemed perfect and cooly elegant, swallowed up by the set and quite alone in her world. It's the fashion equivalent of a tree falling in a forest and no one around to hear it...

I wonder who came up with the original idea? Marc, Teller, or someone else?
