I am with you on this Lola. I've been thinking how much he is doing Prada redux and it have become successfully Prada than Marni. He is definitely a Prada guy but maybe this idea weren't much valued at the house?

I'm not sure...there is definitely a Prada touch in his quirky design approach but at the same time (and the reason why I can't stand what he's doing at Marni) both houses traditionally have a certain adult crispness and rigour, quintessentially milanese, that he just doesn't get. Everything is sloppy, pajama-y and put together, as if after a long night out. I get it, this is his stylistic identity but my guess is that he should adapt to the existing DNA of Marni (or Prada) instead of the other way round, at least until the day when he will design for his own brand, should that moment ever come.

I used to buy so much marni, and I havent bought any of it since this guy. It might be an okay show, but its totally unwearable. you just dont wanna look like that..

Looks like there will be no end to this exasperating trend of slim guys wearing trousers which were designed for men with thighs and bums. The 'sloppy' aesthetic here puts me right off.

The weird thing is that this is his true identity as a designer, he cant do anything else beyond that, this is his creative zone. That being said, someone like him at Marni is complete nonsense at this point...

I think it's actually quite good, one of the best of the season.
