I hope it is really just an innocent kidney infection and not a symptom of or euphemism for a host of other problems that aren't allowed to be mentioned on this site and aren't nice to talk about anyway. Either way I hope she gets better but if it's what we're all dancing around talking about it'll be a lot more than a day in the hospital. I feel like her mother. One kidney infection I hear about and I imagine the worst.

I got a kidney infection over the summer and when I went to the hospital, the doctors asked me twice if I was sure it wasn't a hangover.. I guess it's got a bad reputation these days. I don't know where I got it from though, all I know is that my only symptoms, massive headache [fever] and extremely high blood pressure, made me feel like I was dying.. so.. my sincere best wishes to mary kate!.

I love the Olsens but since this is a girl who walks around smoking all of the time and is rumored to do other things alot, at 21, unless you are unhealthy your whole life kidney infections are rare. I did "things" before that I regret and ended up in the hospital twice. I told them it was "exhaustion" and "red bull" , which was far from the truth. I hope she gets healthy coffee and ciggs and whatever are not good.

yah, you can be hospitalized for kidney failure/problems if you do too much drinking and that 'thing' Kate Moss got in trouble for last year.

Alcohol will not affect your kidney, honey And it will never ever cause kidney failure - your liver would fail a long time before that. Some people in this thread should read up on anatomy

I have had so many kidney infections that I had a kidney removed (what was left of it anyway), and trust me, alcohol has NOTHING to do with it Kidney infections are common among girls, girls are exposed to urinary tract infections (because it's so short). It is always a bacteria infection, and you can't get those from alcohol

Anyway, kidney infections are painful and all, but there is usually no need for hospitalization. Just drink lots of fluids (NO sugar at all), antibiotics and rest, that should do it.

I hate Kidney infections!!!! i had few of them and once i was ill in hospital for 2 long months as the doc couldn't get the drug right.....

I think they have a mysterious quality to them because they are so rich and barely ever give interviews. I would guess they both have some serious demons but they are concealed a lot better than most of the starlets around Hollywood.

Well it is Star so certainly embellished, if not made up. But I think there might be some truth behind the article. I know people who've seen them in clubs in NYC and it seems as though its a pretty accurate discription. There have been rumours about this for years, though they have managed to hang onto the "good girl" image much longer, probably out of necesscity because they were still so huge with tweens. MK's rumoured involvement with Heath/immediately after his death is strange too.

Your right, they do the same stuff Lindsay and the other girls do. But they are smart enough not to get caught and have bodyguards.

for two young adults that amassed over 1 billion dollars (w/ interests, now) on their own and not from mommy and daddy or ancestors, they are well protected , like the US President, if not more. Mysterious, true. They have every right to be. They can afford it. And certainly must live with it.

Athina Onassis is the same way. But the difference is , she's not an actor. So with that she can afford to live and hide like any other citizens. Which is a good thing.... for her.
