so ... can someone confirm this for me, because i just wanna make sure i've got it correct:


KK has Rag&Bone, Donna Karan, Dior and Tommy Hilfiger?

if she ever gets a blue chip campaign like dior it will put her right on the map. rag&bone and tommy are just blah blah. there are literally a million models in those campaigns and nobody pay attention.

Sorry for the confusion, but I was referring to Karolina Kurkova!! C'mon people, are we really starting to call Karlie by KK now? That's Karolina's title!!

Anyways, I think "KK" is well known enough to be on the icons list. She has conquered both commercial & high fashion modelling, and is still landing big campaigns. As much as I love the nineties supermodels, most of them don't have the merits to be on the working icons list anymore. I guess Linda & Naomi can stay, because they still get big covers. Amber, Christy & Claudia need to be removed. When those 3 are removed, I think that KK, Lara & either Natasha or Sasha should graduate to the icons list.

^ Claudia is one of the most working supers actually, she gets more covers than Linda & Naomi, only this year she got: UK Bazaar, Vogue Germany & Vogue Spain... and Linda? None! Claudia also has current Chanel eyewear campaign.

Yeah KK = Karolina, like Jac = Monika Jac and not Jacquelyn Jablonski.

And i do think Melissa deserves a spot. For example has Melissa done a lot more shows, adds (Nicole Fahri, Proenza Shouler, Gucci Fiat) and eds then Marique Schimmel (only D&G). It doesn't make any sense.

And Marloes Horst should by now in the sexy list. She wasn't in the show but girl is freaking sexy and almost only does sexy jobs for lingery, swimwear etc.

personally, i dont understand why snejana and vlada were kicked out of top50 list, i know those 2 were not that demanded, but they should be in the list, even ranked at 49 or something.

^I wouldn't go as far as saying that she's doing nothing but yeah she has definitely slowed down this year as opposed to 2010 when she was everywhere.

I think Freja needs to change her look drastically in order to stay at the top. That shaggy fringe style she has right now is too associated with Chanel for other designers to want her in their campaigns, imo. Freja's chances at being #1 are slowly fading. Her best option is to change her hair & to walk all the big shows this upcoming fashion week, because unless you're an icon, models should walk the shows that they want campaigns for. I still think Freja has alot of campaigns left in her- Dsquared2, Missoni, Kenzo, Giorgio Armani, etc., but her look is very stale now.

Its also going to be interesting to see how Arizona's career pans out. I have NEVER seen a newcomer do this much in just 2 seasons. I'm not sure if she can maintain that level for much longer. We'll see.

I think the girls with the most promise of longevity right now are Joan, Karlie & Karmen. Joan has a huge beauty contract & has the most industry support atm. Karlie is a big time Vogue girl with possibility of a long VS future ahead of her. Karmen has landed the coveted Kors contract and is also a Gucci fave. I believe Daphne will have a chance at the #1 spot someday, too.

all the Super should be REMOVE with the expeption of Giselle n Kate. in the Icon List should only be models that have work from the 2000- until now.

you can not be serious. Iconic is not the same as been well know.

Coco,lily,Stam had they time but now. have u seen Raquel work this year? is more than those 3 girl work put together.
imk not Raquel number 1 fan but she really deserves her spot she is the Number one model working Right now.
(Raquel,Lara n Isabeli r the top 3 model this year) n i think Arizona but she is not Iconic at all.

Edit Stam just got that beauty deal.but still that is not a reason to be in the Icon list SMH

Who ever said Raquel is not iconic enough seriously knows nothing about fashion and models! Who else is working as much as Raquel right now other than Isabeli? These two dominated the campaign season... MDC continues to piss me off to no end. I just don't get how they calculate the models rank. UGHH!!! KK def def deserves to be on that icons list and higher than some of those who are on there too. She is EVERYWHERE! Also I don't think that lily, coco, stam etc should be on the icons list just yet. They're big models but I'm not sure that they're going to stick around for much longer as they're already being forgotten. Happy for Stam and the cover girl contract but is it enough to sustain her presence? Coco i really think should get into television and the wider media as she has the personality and presence for it. Lily as much as I love her, is fading away so she needs to buck up!
