If im not mistaken, didn't Karlie open/close the most amount of shows this season? I think that will translate well into campaigns for her so add me to the camp that thinks she's got the most potential for the next number 1.

I think KK should replace Amber Valetta on the Icons list. Amber is a US Vogue regular, but she gets very little campaign work. KK on the other hand has been in several campaigns recently and was just in VP.

I definitely think KK should be back on the icons list. This is her third season back and she's still going strong so I think she's proved she's back and here to stay. She's certainly one of the more well known models out there and is definitely an icon. However, I'm not sure who she should replace. Yes, KK works more than Amber but I think Amber is a bigger icon and she's a supermodel to most. She can work as often or as she likes and she'll still be relevant.

I wouldn't neccesarily count out Natasha just yet.. Something tells me she just slowed down a lot to plan her wedding.. Because now that she's on Twitter and her honey moon and all those other things she was doing after her wedding is over she has been posting non-stop for a lot of work.. So maybe she just kind of went on a haitus and decided to be picky and now she's back? Idk.. I might just be doing some wishful thinking..

But I definately put my money on Karlie right now.. She might not have covers for VP or BV but she has definately upped her work move. You can see that she has definately been doing more sexy-style work and she's supposed to be doing the VSFS this year.. And she has an amazing personality and is such a sweet girl.. Plus, she has a lot of support from a lot of designers.. So you can't ever know.. Specially with any girl.. Who knows how long this Arizona/Joan hype will last..

And one picture for a campaign isn't really all that.. I didn't even know she was in the Cavalli campaign until I saw it in a magazine and I'm always on tFs..

Karlie in Roberto Cavalli campaign? Where?

I like Natasha, but I really don't think she has slowed down because of her wedding. At he end of the day, clients just aren't as interested in her as they used to be. Do you think that she has time to shoot a Cavalli campaign, but doesn't have time to shoot for Gucci because she was planning her wedding?!?! I really think that Poly fans want that to be the case, but it just isn't. I think she will become an icon eventually, but she reached her peak around Spring 2009, imo.

Oh, and as for Joan with the 1 Cavalli picture- that campaign only had 3 pictures in total, so maybe they Cavalli camp had to make some budget cuts......

^haha i thought it was between karlie and joan with the roberto cavalli.

Some of the profile pics have been updated again, and I'll just just that I think MDC is sending a clear picture that they DON'T want Natasha to be #1. At all.

Natasha doesen't need and deserves the 1st Spot!
She's an old model! 26 years old! The 1st Spot it's for a young/established model not an old model like her or Anja!
Probably Natasha will have the Icon spot, 1/2 years, same 4 Anja!
Freja's age it's ok but her peak it's just ended so. .
My bet is for Joan :D

I dont agree about Karlie...i just cant see it....ok she has Dior but, a number 2 its enough...i dont really like Arizona but i think if she does a little more in a year she can actualy be number 1....and i dont think Natasha will be cause shes almost an icon and Freja doent have Chanel now so i think she will be low in a space of half an year...

Also i would LOVE to see Karmen in the top 5 cause she deserv it and Saskia, Daphne and Daria should be in the top 10 and switch with Anna(that should GTFO the list), Miranda (top 20 but not top 10) and Iselin(top 30 but not top 10) and Constance will problably switch with Sasha some day

^What makes you say that?

Firs off, out of all the great work she has done, why choose a Russian Vogue cover to represent her? Its not that big of a cover, IMO. Second, the cover is literally the worst I have ever seen from her. She is far more beautiful than that cover.

I think that when all the campaigns this season have been released, Natasha & Sasha should move to the icons list. They aren't getting the same amount of work as the other girls in the top 5, but they have proven their longevity. MCB never even made it to #3 on the top 50 list but was moved to icons, so the same should happen with Natasha & Sasha.

I think when Lara retires to the icons list with Natasha & Sasha, then the top 10 list should like this:

1) Joan Smalls(Estee Lauder, Gucci, Chanel- best choice)
2) Freja Beha Erichsen(assuming she gets something big)
Karlie Kloss(probably will get ODLR)
3) Anja Rubik(same clients)
4) Abbey Lee Kershaw
Arizona Muse
5) Jac Jacagiak(I think she is the new Dior girl)
Liu Wen
6) Constance Jablonski(I think her career is turning more commercial)
7) Karmen Pedaru(assuming she is still the face of Michael Kors)
Saskia de Brauw(Chanel girl along with Joan)
8) Sigrid Agren
9) Daphne Groeneveld
10) Iselin Steiro(might be out of the top 10 w/o big campaign)
Daria Stokous(if she gets a 3rd Jil Sander campaign)

Once again, I'm trying not to be biased. Even though Joan is my fave, I think her being #1 is justified. Liu & Constance have the same EL contract as her, but Joan also has Gucci & Chanel. I think the VP cover is probably going to happen sometime next year, too. None of the campaigns are out yet, but these are just my thoughts ;)

^I am not 100% sure, but she opened the show & fit the collection really well, imo. Even if she doesn't get Gucci, she still is guarenteed to have Estee Lauder & Chanel

I really don't get why Iselin Steiro & Miranda Kerr are in Top 10 & especially Anna Jagodzinska, only for one Dolce & Gabbana fragrance contract?

i pretty much agree with this list -_-..
BUT i think Anja should move to the icons list too..
it's a little early to predict Joan as next #1, whitout big Vogue covers is impossible! still think Freja could get it..
and also i would replace Daria S. and Iselin with Fei Fei and Zuzanna, i think Daria needs more than another JS campaign to be a top 10 and i heard that Iselin is going back to college so , these other girls are kinda new but their careers are going really fast! :ninja:

Anja icons??? i disagree and that leaves her with..??? yes sure multiple fragance adds but she isn't really in any other vogue then vp is she???
She lost Fendi. And I don't really see her as a icon tbh.

^My hesitation with Karlie is that she has already accomplished so much in the early stages in her career. She has already done 4 Dior campaigns, 3 Donna Karan campaigns, & 4 ODLR campaigns. Do you really think she will be shooting those same three campaigns in a few years from now? What other designers do you see her shooting campaigns for? This is a genuine question, because IDK if she has the look for other big brands. I think maybe JPG will give her a campaign, but in the end I could see her running out of favor like Natasha & Freja. When I look at the connections that Joan & Karlie have, I think Joan has more:

Karlie- Anna Wintour, ODLR, Donna Karan, Steven Meisel, I&V, Craig McDean
Joan- Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Frida Giannini, Riccardo Tisci, Mert & Marcus, Estee Lauder, Mario Sorrenti, Craig McDean, Roberto Cavalli, Karl Lagerfeld

As far as who has a brighter future, I think Joan may be the safe choice for MDC to make #1. I can smell some campaigns like MaxMara, Tom Ford & Louis Vuitton in her future. With Karlie, I don't know what to predict. I know I'm kinda schizophrenic with this Karlie/Joan thing, so does someone else have an opinion on where Karlie will be in the next few years?

You missed one point, Karlie has Dior power yet for seasons

I agree. ^_^
Anja appeared on this year's Vogue US Sep issue:lol:, she has got many ads esp fragrance ( still not for makeup and beauty line, sad ), but I dont see she could top as one of those ICONS, especially at this moment...She is sexy, wild, skinny, cool, but clients still have so much options for that demand, i.e. Ms. Fontana and Ms. Zimmerman.

Anja has been in this business for 10 years, just like Raquel, but I just cant feel any ICON factor from her.

As much as I don't see Anja as an icon, her work does prove that she deserves a spot someday soon. The only reason I kept her in my list is because she is getting more work than Natasha & Sasha, so she still has a little tiny glimmer of hope at the #1 spot.

As far as Karlie getting Dior again, I don't think it will happen. Jac got the Dior Cruise campaign, so she is my bet for Dior Spring 2012.

Oh, and I don't quite understand all this talk about Joan not lasting much longer. She has industry support from all 4 big Vogues, Carine Roitfeld, EL, & many bigtime designers. Not to mention that she is gaining momentum with photographers like Craig McDean, Peter Lindbergh, Terry Richardson & Mario Sorrenti. She ain't goin' NOWHERE!!!!!

All Joan needs is 2 big Vogue covers to become #1. All Karlie needs is a bigtime contract. Which one do you think is easier to attain?
