I definitely expected them to add Bella to New Supers eventually, but, the same way as I felt when they added Kengi, it's much too soon for her to be considered a "supermodel" by anyone apart from Cherry Emoji Twitter, no? That and the reach of social media (& nepotism) has grown to such a dramatic extent, I fear what the next generation of top models will be.

To whomever works at MDC and stumbles across this thread, here's a message on behalf of all of tFS: Please never add Hailey Bieber to Icons or Supers. Please.

The new additions to Hot List are all justified. Nice that Grace is on Icons too. Congrats to them.

Removed from Hot List:
Olivia Forte

I figure Kaia will be the next one on the New Supers list.
And for Icons, I figure Rianne and Vitto are up next. After that in terms of longevity would probably be Imaan, Jean, Kiki, Jing, Sora, but they could all end up on the Money List. Could see them pushing Ashley Graham as well.

^ IMO Imaan deserved a nomination for MOTY. I'd assume Industry Choice of MOTY is between Adut and Anok and Reader's Choice will be one of the Hadids or Kaia.

And why exactly is He Cong nominated for Breakout Star? In 2019??? Same logic as Bethann still putting Mayowa on her Top Newcomers list every season. I'm so confused.

Gemma deserves a nomination for Best Comeback too. Sure, you can input any model in the database as a vote, but when they're not on the nominated list it's a lot less likely that they'll end up a winner.

inb4 Kaia Gerber wins Model of the Year *facepalm*

I don't think I actually care for this awards anymore unfortunately, although I always thought this would have a much better outcome than BFC. It's basically anyone related to celebrity who would win, or maybe a rich non-celeb family to a lesser extent. Last year was different since Adut does have a good amount of work to make her win a worthwhile while the year before... don't get me started.

Not gonna go down on the Reader's Choice since it's basically a fandom measuring contest and it's going to be won by any Hadid or Kaia, even worse K*ndall. There's no way for talented models to win this vote unless you rally big TV ship fandoms to go vote for, say, Lineisy or Sora, which even that doesn't guarantee you a whole vote either.

EDIT: Also someone putting Bella Hadid as an Industry Select, certainly a galaxy brain move.

Good to see the 'industry' is still favouring actual models. 'Readers' on the other hand...

We all know it's gonna be a fandom measuring contest. I didn't even know that it's going to be much worse.

However, whoever thought it's a good idea to vote for K*nd*ll as Reader's Choice winner should get themselves checked.

And again Sora Choi's street style has been thrown under the bus.

Imaan Hammam is close to Icon status. She's been modeling since July 2013 and is still relevant, booking campaigns (shot by Meisel), Vogue covers and editorials in the big 4 of Vogue consistently, as well as walking several high profile runways throughout her career. Unfortunately, she hasn't received her much deserved Vogue Paris cover (seems like Emmanuelle doesn't book her as much since people started saying she deserves one, whatever, last Vogue Paris ed in August 2019). 3 US Vogue covers, British Vogue, Italian Vogue and several other editions of Vogue. Versace muse. Campaigns for several high fashion brands, blue chip brands (Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Versace, Moschino, Alexander McQueen, DVF, Chloe, Sonia Rykiel), a darling of beauty campaigns since she started her career, and also booking top commercial campaigns (H&M, Top Shop, Tiffany & Co., DKNY, Express, Coach shot by Meisel) sealing her overall versatility and mass appeal. One of the best editorial models of her generation and one of, if not the best runway walks of her generation, one that her peers could only wish to have.

Icon.

I knew this would happen after Brokaw casted her for Louis Vuitton. For her to have started so recently, her je ne sais quoi has been too much to continue being underground. Lola Nicon now on The Hot List.

^

Hot List:
Achenrin Madit
Ajok Madel
Berit Heitmann
Evie Harris
Janaye Furman
Lola Nicon
Miriam Sanchez
Sasha Knysh
Yorgelis Marte
Zso Varju

No Mika Schneider yet??? Shocked.
