An article in Adelaide Now
SUPERMODELS-in-the-making Emilia Skuza and MJ are living dolls in the latest issue of Vogue Australia. On sale today, the fashion bible features the beauties discovered in Adelaide, in a 12-page fashion editorial shot in Queenstown, New Zealand, earlier this year.
MJ and Emilia, who both have natural long honey blonde hair are virtually unrecognisable in
Vogue where they both resemble Alpine Barbie in the pictures taken by photographer
Nicole Bentley.
MJ, who hails from Alice Springs won the Colonnades Finesse Model Search in October after being plucked out of the crowd while visiting Adelaide during the school holidays.
Meanwhile, Emilia, who won the Myer Centre Adelaide Model Search in 2008 and was instantly signed to Finesse Models Australia, really only kicked off her career in January after completing Year 12.
Emilia and MJ, who are represented by Sydney model agencies Chadwick and Vivien's respectively, still have Finesse as their mother agency.
Understandably, Finesse director
Brigitte Mitchell is quite the proud "mum".
"I think it's awesome considering the short amount of time they have both been modelling," she tells Confidential.
"It's just the beginning of big things for them because they are also signed to international agencies."
While Emilia is in New York for work, MJ, who will also head to the Big Apple next month, said the
Vogue experience was like a vacation.
"Emilia and I were told to act like we were best friends going on a holiday and the whole crew was so much fun to work with," she says. "We had such a great time together."
