BEAUTIFUL skirt (Post #462)! Would be darling on a femme, but pretty nice on a homme. I could probably wear my ankle boots with that skirt if that were me wearing that skirt.

so for this Halloween I got the chance to wear a kilt .. and I've converted!!!

To you all guys who talk #$%#$ about men in skirts TRY IT! Its the most liberating thing EVER ... at the begining when I put it on I wasnt sure whether to wear something underneath it or commando and I did wear underwear but I think you can pull it off sans it as well ...

Honestly, Im seriously thinking of getting more (regardless of the fact that Ill become "the guy who wears skirts") ... nighttime Im so pulling it off .. for the day .. undecided!

I still have the itch to want to wear a jean skirt (since I mostly wear jeans for my casual outfits). The thing that holds me back is that I want to wear certain things, but likely can't. Probably it's that's that fear factor of a homme wearing feminine garments out in public, or at least trying them on in a fitting room [at a major retail store, and being with parents]. Alternatively, I've also thought of if I wore a culotte skirt of some kind. A skirt is a skirt is a skirt.

A number of hommes say that it's liberating to wear a skirt (or at least a kilt). I haven't an idea as to HOW liberating because I'm so used to pants and jeans.

Here's the thing. Hommes have LONG worn skirts even before it became a fashion staple for femmes. I know I've shown resentment over men with shorts and leggings/tights when someone asked if it was fear that driven my resentment over that look. But here, I am not real sure what the resentment would be over men in skirts. I don't think it's like I'm trying to paint the picture of a homme sporting a destroyed or distressed denim mini skirt.

But you know what? Fashion is art, art is expression, and expression is fashion. If a homme is confident and comfortable in a skirt, let him be! I think the basic threshold for a homme in a skirt would probably be anywhere between a mid-length (just above the ankles) to floor-length skirts. Maybe my dream skirt would be a good-fitting fit-and-flare or gored long jean skirt. I wouldn't have the confidence to go with any slim or pencil skirt. It all comes down to confidence and comfort to me with this deal.

In Germany the male uniform of a beer company becomes the kilt.

In Germany, a brewery chose the kilt as a uniform for its male staff.








Very hot summer, cold beer and the driver of beer comes in plaid skirt: The brewery Welde of Schwetzinger introduced the kilt as a uniform and drivers are involved with pleasure.



It is originally an idea of beer deliveryman. He proposed it to other employees, and the youngers persuaded the olders. This does not concern only production but also the offices. Moreover, there is no constraint, it does not come from above, so no reverse discrimination, and especially the argument that prevailed was the heat of summer, in a cab truck without air-conditioned. In the film we see the driver Robert Clark wearing a kilt and the operator wearing trousers.

In a fashion sense, HATE when men wear womenswear, I found it very very very bad taste, i leave it to Marc Jacobs or Gaultier, but i dont like it.
BUT, if you want to wear a skirt, do it boy you are free!

Just think about your saying the other way round like "HATE when women wear menswear" ....

I think everybody should wear what he likes. And - remember - some decades ago women were not allowed to wear trousers. Now most women wear them.

i have seen more men wearing various types of skirts on the streets of manhattan...
i had a really good day a couple weeks ago when i saw two separate guys each wearing one on the same day...
and both doing it REALLY well...
if only i could have snapped a photo...

but at least i have the memory...
