I got my first pair of boots earlier this year. This was part of a curiousity deal in which I wanted to wear either some loafers or boots. I found these boots called the Drexlite Louis boots (more info here, courtesy of showshow.com: http://www.shoeshow.com/Drexlite-Louis-Zip-P3068C12.aspx?imgbase=552015 ). These are side-zip ankle boots that I've worn casually at school. I almost always wear jeans when I step out the door. So a good pair of jeans goes very well with these boots. The boots are very wearable to me. My brother suggests I wear these with more formal clothing and not with jeans all the time.

Maybe if I get a chance at other stores, I may think about some loafers I can wear casually apart from my comfortable American Eagle sneakers.

hey guys
does anyone own a pair of dior homme cuban heel boots from dior homme?
I am spying on a pair of gold ones at the moment...are they a good investment you reckon?

for novelty, yah. but they're reall ried.

ppl will be like wow he has FW 05 gold Dior heels, they're just so covetable but they're not that cool anymoar. IMO

BTW where are you peepin and pair

hmm yea? thanks smiths;
btw, I decided to not get the BV bag, was swayed by your no bags ideology :)

I am actually looking for a pair of cuban heel boots which arent too disco, so thought the dior homme ones were pretty cool. anyone have alternative recommendations? I can definately use the height lift at 5'7.

YSL johnny boot, classically masculine, always sexy. I simply adore. i have four pairs.

I was shorter Id wear the Johnny boot. I adore them, but for me...I can't do that heel

I got two pr of the YSL Johnny boots - super comfy, look real great, superb craftsmanship. Expensive, but anything that is true quality will be. Please tell me you wont be swayed by Fendi's Wedges for men idea.

You could also look at Archie Eyebrows collection of cuban heeled boots and shoes.

is there any place online where I can buy the YSL johnny boots from? I've checked the main site and they only come in one colour?

that's a pretty cool webstie hfmrok, too bad they dont carry size 41! the fendi wedges look pretty bad in my opinion;

Redeemed - THe main site carries the Johnny boot in both black and brown. I got the brown brogue style and also the black wingtip style (not on website) through the YSL shops in London. the-smiths sums them up perfectly.

Ianastar - don't let height stop you. There's no rule in the book that says you shouldn't wear a johnny boot if your tall, the taller gals have no such hangups and do it all the time, so why not you. They only add an inch and a half over a regular guys shoe.
:D

The Johnny boot comes in like 20 colors. leopard pony hair, ostrich, crocco, lamb, buffalo. Lots of materials and colors.

Don't they just - and in a range of prices from £400 to £4000 too. Its worth visiting the shops as they have a much better selection than presented on the web.

thanks guys!

where I'm at does not have a ysl boutique unfortunately. do appreciate all your input, will check it out when I see one!
