BUY L'EAU D' ISSEY FROM ISSEY MIYAKE! IT'S AMAZING.
I like this too. [/b][/quote]
The thing about L'Eau de Issey is, that everyone has this perfume, is not something innovative. Still, I know it smells good, but is not my taste ;)

By the way, sometimes mixing perfumes can be a succesful experience, but not all times it works well... There are ingredients, like adelhydes, which can give character and strenght to a note in a parfum. When mixing perfumes, the adelhydes from one perfume can alter the harmony from the other perfume, which can react as an unpleasant, time bomb like scent :ninja:

I am not a big fan of what I considered MAN scents- anything that has a "woodsy" feel-blaahhh! I    BLV by Blvgari for a guy. Bought it for my bf- it is gingery but cool at the same time, not sweet. I wear it sometimes, too.

I forgot to add that it smells good from first putting it on to when it is hardly there anymore. Isn't it weird how some scents mutate over time and begin to reek by the end of the day?

Try Un Jardin en Mediterranee by Hermes, it has fig and its absolutely to die for

Personally, M7 makes me nauseated..... its smells like too many thing have been mixed together... But, I recommend Hermes un Jardin en Mediteranee, Its actually a unisex fragrance. It doesnt smell like your typical overbearing mens fragrance.

i love smelling men's lynx deodorant
sooo sexy! i so cant resist the lynx effect

um... i like givenchy homme or whatever it's called

*nods energetically*
Move (or is it Motion?) by Hugo Boss is great. But I think a scent is a very personal item. I wouldn't attempt purchasing a scent unless he is right there with you.

I'm glad noone mentioned my scent. I know millions of people wear it, but I still consider it MINE. :D

My boy wear RL Romance. Makes me ....I'll use the word "excited" every time I smell him. It's inexpensive and smells great.

You could always go to a department store and smell their samples. It should give you a good idea as to which one you would like.

I bought the womens version of that for someone. It is my favorite Ladies Scent.

BLV for women is to die for

But of course, my new favorite in my list is Bandit, by Robert Piguet :crush:

I am going to get some BLV for this woman (points to self  )

Alejandro- should I know Robert Piguet? Does he only design fragrance?

My bf designed some displays for Thierry Mugler (who I'd never heard of before either) so I got some freebies out of it-

Angel for women is kind of nice and powdery (blue bottle with a star)

but the men's in the green bottle( don't know the name) smells like rotting weeds- AVOID!!

Angel, IMO, is soo tired already, even though I love how the women's version smells on me...

Robert Piguet is one of the most famous parfumeurs ever... he created Fracas, which is Maddona's favorite perfume, as for a very small elite crowd...

Here is a link ;)

ditto to M7 making me feel nauseated. its so heavy!

l'eau de issey smells like cool water to me when it dries down -- yuck!

i like givenchy pour homme.

i use jil sander for men -- good for everyday -- i like how it dries down

-----

whats a good cologne thats not as heavy as M7 but not as light as Acqua di gio or something by polo. i don't want fruity smelling or 'sport' like. i want something nice and substantial but not heavy, like something for the evening. i like chanel allure for men but that smells like a lot of other stuff. i guess woodsy is the word, but not 'oriental'

-----

what exactly would you compare costume nationale sent too? i'm interested.

hey! what about acqua di parma? it was humnphrey bogart's signature scent and whole other slew of old timey actors used it. i hear its a classic and very masculine.

It's difficult to me to compara Costume National's Scent with some other fragrance, because im totally in love with it, so, Im sorry about that one..

Acqua di Parma is good, is a classic, but is not one of my favorites, because I don't like fresh, clean smelling perfumes... This one is really fresh, citrusy and woodsy... not for me ;) but is a good scent.

Commes de Garcons rocks! But is really hard to find down here... I saw it once in a boutique, and never saw it again...im dying to travel and buy some B)

Platinum Egoiste, Chanel

Interesting, I've never bought men's perfume by Chanel (God only knows how many people have asked me to buy No.5 for them though...)...

How do I pronounce Platinum Egoiste when I ask for it?
Ay-Go-Eest

at least that's how my french teacher taught it :innocent:
