Who is your favourite men's underwear designer? I personally LOVE Ginch Gonch, they are so crazy and fun. I also love Calvin of course just because the fit is superb. But yeah any opinions? I need some fun new undies, I have all of the current Ginch Gonch ones that I like.

hah...i get my underwear from american apparel. tons of colors, and they are so comfy (the briefs)!!!

Right now I been in love with the Gap undies and Calvin boxer briefs. <3

funny cause i'll spend nice dough on everything except undergarments.
i'll just buy whatever.
but each time i see a fashion magazine the men always seem to be wearing CK boxers. so when i get around to it, i guess i'll go with CK, DAMN advertisements!!!

Of all the boxers I have bought DH his favorites are boxer briefs from Old Navy.

For trunks (aka a cropped boxerbrief) I do Calvin Klein, for briefs I do a high cut 2xist brief. I dont do boxers, too poofy and I just dont like them.

All my undies are black...btw, very sleek...

hehe, i like abercrombies new ones too, the updated version. I wanna know the song from the ginch gonch weiner eaters (yeah a crazy name for a print) video on the website.

My favourite brand of underwear is Diesel. Their short briefs are amazing. They are comfortable and are great quality. I've tried most brands such as Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Gap, Ginch Gonch, Puma, but I still prefer the Diesel ones over all of these brands.

^Agreed Spacemiu..but their "for gays, by gays" advertising approach definitely turns me off...:yuk:

um excuse me, not to be rude or anything, but you are on a website where the male demographic is predominately gay, so if you have beleifs such as this it would be nice if you kept it to your self. Thank you. :flower:

And by the way, i asked about your favorite brand, not your favorite underware advertisement, and since when is an underware add not geared toward a gay community? Answer me that, Mr. for gays, by gays.

I bought a pair of the new Abercrombies, both the pima, and the athletic trunk, AMAZING fit, and AMAZING look, Totally worth the price.

Casualuxury, you basicly generalized the board, by stating that most of the male members, here are gay which I think is rude. I also don't believe that TrophyBrown's comment was meant to be taken offensively. He just stated that he didn't appriciate the sexual innuendo that is being advertised. Which I agree. Also your comment that mens underwear is targeted to the gay community that is blantly stupid. I don't think underwear is targeted to a certain group. It's underwear for God sakes.

Well unplugged, i wasn't generalizing the board, i just thought it was kind of a "red-neckish" kind of comment. thats it. Don't get your totally straight and nothing to do with being gay at all boxer-breifs in a bunch. ;D

How do you know that most of the males on this board are gay?

Im a simple Fruit of the Loom, Boxers, Boxers Briefs guy. I would NEVER spend over 20 dollars on one pair of underwear. RIDICULOUS.

Grigioperla, Schiesser, Calida.

And for the record, I am gay and am also turned off by "for gays, by gays" kind of product advertising. Not because I find it disgusting or offensive in any way, but because it's just stupid. Why would a gay man be better at making underwear than a straight man? And would the gay wearer somehow notice a difference? Are you supposed to support some elusive gay community by buying gay-produced stuff?

This has been mildly blown up but I think ultimately what the above person was trying to do was just spread some awareness? While the male demographic on these forums may not be necessarily predominantly gay, it seens fair to say that a large share of fashion/clothe designers are.

And when you think about it, there aren't that many ways to showcase underwear, and perhaps some campaigns can't help but seem marketed towards gays. Ultimately, Calvin Klein/etc. are trying to maximise profits, and so they will target to the largest demographic they can.

I find that Abercrombie & Fitch use quite homoerotic imagery, not to mention Dolce & Gabanna (guy unzipping with another guy kneeling down? hmm.. and two guys straddling each other.. ehe). Perhaps subliminal imagery, perhaps a nod to the orientation of the two designers themselves (names at opposite ends of pages to indicate that they're not together anymore? perhaps i'm reading too deeply into it. heh).

To those who are concerned (probably no one. :p), wearing Calvin Klein won't make people perceive you as gay. At least not in London. Being gay is just an orientation (ultimately), not a lifestyle.

And to answer the original question: I own a few pairs of Calvin Klein trunks and Paul Frank boxers. Saw a pair of briefs with "Angel" embroidery from last season's Dsquared but they were v. overpriced (70 pounds...) Galliano's offerings seem interesting with the newsprint and all and they cost far less. heh. Couldn't find any my size though (YET!).
