Menswear F/W 07.08 Paris, Schedule

new dawn....you are thinking exactly as I. The one I am truly anticipating is Bruno's debut

Also, nice to Sanchiro and Aaron back on the map with a new presentation for Blaak. Haven't seen much of them for a while and their menswear is quite good.

Can't wait for Dries van Noten, Lanvin, Raf Simons (I'm probably going to see the show :woot: ) and the first show ever of Kiminori Morishita

There isn't a better way to roll into 07. I would love to see Dior, Hermes, YY, YSL and especially LV -- though nothing has significantly changed as of late with Marc.

I cant wait to see
3.30pm Rykiel Homme
4.30pm Yohji Yamamoto
6.00pm Louis Vuitton
10.00am Junya Watanabe Man
4.30pm Comme des Garçons Homme Plus
7.30pm Dries Van Noten
8.30pm Raf Simons
11.00am Lanvin
4.00pm Yves Saint Laurent
8.00pm Hermès
6.30pm Dior Homme
and Balenciaga which is quickly becoming my favorite

^ I heard they have some financial problems (although they're owned by LVMH) and I guess a runway show would be too expensive.

i dont think the mens line is selling as well as the womens which is doing really well.

^ what makes you think womens is doing really well? I actually heard they have some problems with womens wear too :ninja:

the womans line has grown in sales for the last 2 seasons they are selling 3 times what they were selling with MCdonald at the helm. people are actually visiting the store in new york and buying things. tisci has a huge buzz here.

^ they're doing better yes, but still not well enough. At least that's what I heard..

^ I don't think Balenciaga is showing actually

They'll do a showroom presentation during Paris menswear week like S/S 07, right?

yes the menswear will be available in the showroom :flower:

I do hope that Hedi Slimane pionners something new, something that exilerates my admiration of Dior Homme again. Not that his last two collections were bad, they were just...tired. Anything Galliano does I will enjoy, even if it is aprons made out of Zebra print velvet with combat boots. I don't know why, it just happens. Junyah Watanabe is always one that never fails to enchant me. I am so glad that it is coming so soon.
