Does Shame have an NC-17 rating? I can't remember if I read that somewhere. Someone I know saw it at the TIFF yesterday. Said it was very good, especially Michael but that there is ALOT of nudity in it and that it's very dark.

shame has full frontal male nudity in it, there's no escaping a nc-17 i guess. some of my friends saw it in venice and told me it's very good, that michael is great in it and that it's so dark and obsessive it's almost disturbing. i can't wait to see it

SOOOO. I finally saw a dangerous method.
Im a huge, die hard Croneberg fan but the movie was kind of a let down for me. Keira ruins everything, she's terrible in it, she redifines overacting (in a *very* bad way).
Anyway, Michael is fantastic in it. Not only he delivers a fantastic performance, he's always perfectly dressed and groomed. Great. Viggo and Vincent are amazing aswell. I might be missing Shame tonight, i'll be very sad if I have to skip it

so i actually got to see 'Shame'.
all i can say is 'OH MY GOD'
i loved the movie and michael is absolutely superb in it. A truly intense performance.

(and well yes, he's very naked in most of it, there are actual closeups of his... private parts.... and VERY explicit scenes that i had rarely seen in proper narrative movies. Carey mulligan went full frontal too, i didn't know about it. )
The film is strong, dark, disturbing, almost, but it's great. He's fantastic.
