Michael Rider - Designer, Creative Director of Celine

I remember reading a "rumor" on a different forum that the collection would be a wild stylistic departure and similar to The Row, and although it's hard to judge from all 20 blurry pixels, I guess they were kinda right? Idk. Looks very... generic, but playful? I don't hate it, and I am curious to see more, yet I can't say it's something I'd be interested in pursuing a purchase from.
Well, they did hire Brian Molloy for the styling — he also works on The Row.

I'm not sure I like the direction they're going for (love the GANT reference PDFSD ) but waiting to see more.

Actually feels a bit Decarnin for balmain in the styling but less edge but the ease is there. I’d like to see a proper main season collection, debut and campaign before I determine if I like it.

Very Brutus city boy energy, but you’re paying triple just for the logos.
Hahah you hit the nail on the head. It’s a bit hard to judge from these pictures. But it does feel like a weird mix of everything that has been trending recently. It lacks elevation and precision so far.

First leaks. A change for sure.
At the end with the right styling and image, I guess it will grow on me.
Did this person say which collection this leak is of? Michael Rider arrived in the HQ/studio's in January, he worked on the show collection which has not delivered yet.
The resort was designed by in-house teams, so wondering what this is.

yes when its done by Hedi hehe ....as he did at Celine already it was a French RL

But i just can't with another middle of the road clothes i see no ID can be GANT can be COACH can be Hilfiger even in 2025

But like i said he will do like he dresses sloppy layering and i got crucified lol for it almost... to not pre judge based on his style of dressing.

my SA can text me but i won't be passing by i told her already Hedi left i feel no point to get more stuff .
It’s very GANT

It’s okay I would wear it, some pieces could be nice but it might get lost in the menswear collections. Very middle of the road as some of you said. Hedi is a menswear authority so it would really be hard to follow through with anything.

But I’d rather this than Slimane-lite like what Anthony did for years at Saint Laurent.
You would wear it, maybe me too, it's a crossover of Lemaire/The Row with Amiri/AMI, it's fine, I already wear those brands.
More importantly, would you actually PAY for it, from Celine and at Celine prices ?

It looks like something you can assemble from different Ralph Lauren lines.

Now that you’ve asked it, no. You’re right, I could assemble this with AMI pieces in my closet. I already wear it in my everyday if I’m not thinking about my “fit”. I’d be honest, I paid for CELINE HOMME because it’s by Hedi partly. Even if there are overlapping pieces in my wardrobe already. I feel like part of why we pay prices for high fashion is because of conviction, and there’s none here ~so far~.
