I just found an awesome website: mrs-o.org. It chronicles her fashion day to day since entering the White House. The downside is that it's set up blog style, so it takes forever to page through, but the photos on it are good!

After perusing through it, I've revised my opinion. She isn't one note. She does wear a lot of sheath dresses/cardigans but she also has many unexpected looks.

I also love that she mixes high and low end fashion.

Michelle Obama has a New Stylist.

Forget all of the hype around celebrity fashion, today's trend setters are presidential first ladies. Consider Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni.

"Her look was feminine and simple with a legendary ease. Her sense of elegance inspires me to this day." Italian designerner Valentino said about Jackie kennedy.

Carla Bruni, who was Italian fashion model and singer, is now first lady of France. Hailed by some as "the new Princess Diana," her simple feminine look reminds us more of Jackie Kennedy.

"Much has been said about Jackie's style," said Italian fashion designer Valentino "Her look was feminine and simple with a legendary ease. Her sense of elegance inspires me to this day."

On the other side of the Atlantic, the US first lady hasn't received so much attention for her personal style, so now she got a new stylist.

Until recently, Ikram Goldman , owner of Chicago boutique was the First Lady's stylist but now Meredith Koop, a personal assistant is giving out the style advice. Koop was also the assistance of Goldman previously.

"Ms. Koop's responsibilities include advising the first lady on her wardrobe and acting on her behalf in arranging for purchases, including considering the best offered price and buying on discount if discounts are available," a rep for the White House tells the Washington Post. Koop is not supposed to "give press interviews or otherwise interact with the media," the rep added.

Now, Obama is able to expand her wardrobe choices to many more designers without having to purchase designers solely from Goldman's shop.

Wow, love that Lanvin dress on her  And interesting to hear that she's no longer working with Ikram Goldman, I am really curious to see if and how her style will evolve ^_^

That teal bag is Reed Krakoff per mrs-o.

Considering that the new stylist apparently used to work for Ikram, the difference doesn't seem too major ... Ikram was already acquiring things for Michelle that she doesn't carry in the shop.

I actually like the kitten heels! It would be interesting to see her in 4 inch heels for a comparison though!
