Michelle Williams

Thanks so much for those Vogue shoot pictures. I love Marilyn Monroe so i get thingy when there are people who try to impersonate her. But with Michelle, she just kind of oozes into it and doesn't make it seem stupid or fake. It's one of the prettiest shoots i've ever seen.

This is almost really good. Something about the hair and makeup look a bit sloppy. I bet Vanity Fair could have done this much better. That said it's pretty good for US Vogue.

I assume that is the intention. Remember Kirsten Dunst's Marie Antoinette editorial?
oh i get that it's intention to promote the movie, but the cover is making me think it's MM. i don't know how to explain it, for example, now that i've seen the whole spread it's amazing cus i can see Michelle channeling MM in the spread, but the cover is making me feel like it's a lame try of a total impressionation of MM which i think leaves a iffy feeling about how the movie could possibly look and if it will have an inch of Michelle's originality when it comes to acting (and not just pure mimicking of MM). either way, i can't explain it or/and it can't come across right enough (bad english, sorry).

either way, i see they're going full on with the Oscar nom this year with her..those Weinstein brothers...good luck to Michelle!^_^

same source.

She looks so stunning in this shoot. I like her in Vogue but this is just flawless.

She looks the most like MM of all actresses that has ever played her.

If I could choose to look like someone in particular I would pick Michelle's face - that's for sure! sounds a bit freaky but it's true...absolutely stunning !!!!

wow those shots are really intense and natural! she looks really gorgeous in every shot, I love all those close up shots of her. Perfect!

Heat Wave: Michelle Williams is hot stuff as Marilyn

By Baz Bamigboye

How marvellously appropriate that Simon Curtis’s movie My Week With Marilyn has a pre-opening credit sequence with Michelle Williams portraying Marilyn Monroe singing Heat Wave.

But it’s all Michelle Williams: the voice, the hair, the pout, the sashay are all part of her sensational interpretation.

When I saw the actress on set last November she told me she wanted to bring to the screen ‘a kind of sensitivity that those who loved her [Monroe] would spend the rest of their lives trying to describe’ - and that’s just what she’s done.

The film’s title alludes to the friendship that developed between Monroe and Colin Clark, an Eton-educated toff hired as an assistant to Laurence Olivier during the making of The Prince And The Showgirl at Pinewood Studios - where My Week was also shot - in the late Fifties.

For a short while, Monroe was able to be herself around Clark, and the pair went off on a jolly jaunt, skinny-dipping and visiting Windsor Castle.

It was a brief respite from the private pain Monroe tried to mask.
All that and more comes through in Williams’s portrait.

She not only gives us Monroe, the world-renowned star, but also switches between two other roles: Elsie Marina (the character she plays in The Prince And The Showgirl) and the lost girl who is Norma Jean.

It’s electrifying watching these two titans (Williams and Branagh are bound to get Oscar nominations) who speak the same language but are unable to communicate.

The movie has its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 9 and opens here on November 25.

hope for a Michelle Williams appearance for the premiere on October 9th!

I saw these new pictures at awardsdaily *_*, i really really need a trailer lol

She'll be there, that's how they organise the festivals usually, depending on whether the talent is free. Sandra Hebron actually wanted MWWM to premier at London Film Festival but Michelle has filming commitments and Branagh has a play...

Thanks a lot for the pictures of her as Marilyn Monroe. They look fantastic. I can't wait to go and see the movie with my best friend. I'm so happy US Vogue did a Marilyn Monroe inspired photoshoot with her. The pictures aren't perfect imo but they are very beautiful.
