Michelle Williams

first i was like WHAT THE FU*K?!?!
then i clicked the pics bigger
and she does looke pretty!
especially i like the mirror picture.
it is just wierd to see her in this kind of photoshoot.

that magazine is total crap and the headline:
who knew michelle williams had this body...
i really would like to know who makes those headlines?!

I understand all thé comments because this photoshoot not look like too her but it's not so schoking and yes Michelle is bot too :innocent:

She has à really beautiful face ;)

Ugh. I actually hate it. :(
And I don't throw around the word "hate" very often.
I don't like the interview and I despise the cover. Some of the pictures from the spread aren't too bad, I guess? The B/W one for instance.

She is old enough to do whatever pleases her. I think she looks hot and sexy and good for her if she now feels comfortable enough showing more skin :) can't wait to read the interview! (hate the cover tho but really sexy shoot)

At first I was turned off by the GQ shoot... but I looked again and kind of like it. :ninja:

Well, she definitely is uncomfortable with that expression plastered on her face. She'll probably feel incredibly embarrassed when she passes the cover in the newsstands. And it's obvious that someone most likely goaded her into doing this type of shoot...

^ I do wonder why she chose to do GQ? Surely not for her daughter? ;)

And in honor of her win the other night I finally watched Wendy and Lucy. Michelle is so incredible. Perhaps I should make it through all her movies.

Michelle Williams in My Week With Marilyn“

The movie that made me cry most recently was Silent Light, which is about the Mennonite community. The film is very naturalistic, and then all of a sudden, magic realism is introduced: A woman in her coffin slowly starts to wake up. I thought I was seeing things. I started to cry so hysterically that the person I was with suggested we leave—he said I was disrupting the audience. And he was bored. I think he was embarrassed by my crying. I made us stick it out, but that was kind of the end of that relationship.”

She's showing another side of her, a grown up and sexy woman. Love it!

Love the W Pic. The GQ cover/spread is awful, Michelle is so much classier than that.

I don't see the big deal. The shoot was classy and really beautiful. When it's Charlize Theron no one says anything. She is 31 years old what's wrong with doing something out of her comfort zone? I also don't see the big deal with her daughter, Michelle is 31 years old not 15 and she didn't even pose nude. It's suggestive and not what we are used from her but it's not degrading on anyway. I don't understand why some people judge her so harshly for it. ESP since se explained her reason.

^^maybe we don´t care about Charlize enough to say anything :p I know I don´t...

I thought her days posing for men´s mags were over. Do men who read these type of mags are her audience? What´s the need? I can´t even see it empowering to her persona because she´s not style like herself... I´m trying to understand what she could possible gain from this, is she trying to change her image for future movie roles?
I didn´t get a chance to read her entire interview, what is her reason for doing this?

She said:

In GQ, the actress talks about playing a sex kitten. "I wouldn't say that that would be one of my first qualities as a human being -- being sexy," says Williams, 31, and mother of Matilda, 6. So in an effort to shed the sexualized teen image she had developed years ago on TV's Dawson's Creek, she seemed to be aiming for frumpy roles. But recently, she began to see things differently. "It's funny spending your twenties running away from it, and then you hit your thirties … wait a second! Come back! I want that time back when I didn't appreciate what I had! That kind of ripe sexuality, when you hit your thirties you feel more in possession of it, you feel it's not something that can be sort of taken away from you and reassembled."
It reminds me a bit of Carey Mulligan and NataliePortman position about nudity in their movies (ESP Natalie after the whole Leon debacle). I find her approach quite logical.

^Thanks. Still I wish she would reaffirm her sexuality through movie roles and not men´s mags but that´s just my opinion :)

God GQ has turned into FHM. At least Michelle's are tastefull.

THat W pic is awesome until you get to the shoes. They're horrible.

gosh I don't know what to think...this has to be the most personal interview ever...it seems like she strips her soul bare...how terrible for her that it happened with GQ...this interview doesn't match the pictures...

In that interview she sounds like a person who didn't have the easiest life...honestly, those years in Hollywood being on her own with other up-and-coming young guys and girls...sounds totally like she made terrible experiences...and maybe that was part for her running away from anything that was remotely sexy...as she mentions with Dawson's Creek...

I quite like those pictures but I would have never expected her to do that...well, even stranger to have it out after her GG-win; I believe it's all a campaign for the Marilyn Movie and to give a look for the old guys who vote for the Oscars :innocent:

but I also believe that she is getting more confident as a woman grown up and maybe realizing that there is only so much time as an actress in Hollywood where they want to see you half-dressed...and she spend her 20ties being indie and not going for the sexy-look - not that actresses have to but I think it is good for her to feel comfortable enough with herself...

I am also very glad of that last part. At her age it takes a lot of confidence to do that IMO and it shows, at least for me, that she is at peace with her appearance and fine with her curves (I am happy they left them alone with the photoshop :))

The votes closed a while ago. it's too late if its for campaigning.
