Would anyone be interested in seeing more Miguel Adrover pictures...Or have you all seen them all...I'm looking back at other older collections now and I can't get over how good they are.

cerfas, this collection and S/S & A/W 2000 were my faves. Yeah, the older ones were so good...and really quite exquisite. I think if it hadn't been for his backing from Pegasus(and the ultimate downfall of the company),he would have still been making these kinds of collections. The problem was all that money went to his head. I never connected with his work after all that.

I , too, like this better than what he's doing now.
Yet unlike everyone else, I didn't hate his most recent collection. Yes, there were a lto of looks. Yes, some of it wasn't as great as the rest. But there were some pieces and looks in it I found to be just as perceptive, elegant, and intelligent, as this show. I don't want to give up on him :<

yeah you should post more...awesome collection-i haven't seen this before...i love how he translated the cowboy/boy scouts nostalgia--it still seems pretty fresh.

can I ask a rather seemingly inane question.... who is the woman in the front row with the beige patterned suit on with a blonde bob & glasses?

I like this collection very much. thanks for reviving it!

Scott, do you have any photos from the SS 00 collection? I actually haven't seen it. sheepish..

You're welcome, helena and strawbutter.
I don't know who that woman is, Helena...a curious question :> why do you ask?

because I saw her recently & she is very striking looking. I just wondered who she was.....

Cerfas,I don't know about on-line,but I do remember seeing some stuff in Paper magazine that season. I think I still have some clippings saved actually. There was the one piece he did,I loved, which he sort of re-interpreted the mundane I <3 NY t'shirt with acid stains and ruffled sleeves. It was was really kind of decomposed romanticism brought on by the grimy streets of NY. That's the way I would describe it,anyway.

I don't necessarily hate what he's more recently, but the problems he's had these last years have left his his work rather lacklustre. Indeed, there was some good pieces in the last one,but like I said, not as strong as his earlier stuff. I'm hoping now that he's decided to return to Spain, his work will pick up again. Hopefully, there'll be more of a support system for his work in Europe unlike the U.S.

Oh yeah, that must have been his Midtown collection -- mixing elements of downtown and uptown together. Nice

Lackluster, yes, that's a good word for it actually. It's not bad at all, but doesn't have the same spark and power.

i love adrover!! I love his choices in themes and models too. please keep sharing cerfas! thanks!! ;)
