Actually, Freja's (arab) scarf was the craze in the early '90s in Greenwich Village, NYC where you can buy it everywhere from street vendors, flea markets to boutiques. I have the original 2 both in white/black. I wore it few times within the past months. I can't believe it's making a come back :woot: B)

tev, is that really what it means?

Actually here in scandinavia folks have been wearing them continuesly (sorry if misspelling). It's not a trend, more a statement.^_^

I love the models street style. They are always wearing simple clothes but always following the hot trends.
It's funny to see 14 year old girls wearing a Louis Vuitton bag when most of the girls can't. They are our inspiration and example!

I did noticed in Sweden some wore them. ^_^ But, wow the scarf is actually a political statement? I started wearing it late 80's because...

1. an old boyfriend wore it and i wanted one too because it looked cool and how he wore it around his neck looked HOT :woot:

2. it was fall/autumn and getting cold :D

But this old boyfriend never told me the meaning behind it. Perhaps he knew since he was part British and part Persian (he always made it a point he's part Persian and not Iranian  ) anyhoo, perhaps he doesn't which I highly doubt it  , perhaps he didn't want to tell me and get me all weirded out? Maybe i should track him down and demand answers?

I hope people don't think i'm making a political statement when i wear it, since i've been wearing this off and on depending on my style and mood over 3 decades, since the late 80's!

Thanks for the 411, holiday!B)
