How much is it over there at your place? Yeah, I do agree Street is bit expensive for the size and the content! i paid 700 yen for it! But, I only get it when they feature model snaps!

a stance for what?

A political stance. I guess it's become somewhat trendy to make a political statement through articles of clothing. Wearing one shows that your symphathetic towards Palestinians with the conflict & hostility that most go through in the Middle East. Some also see it as an anti-war statement, because of the current war in Iraq. There's more meaning behind it than just that, the black and red colored scarfs also represent different meanings...those of which I'm not too sure of. You should definitely check out the other thread for it though (locating in Trend Spotting), there I'm sure you'll find much more than I could tell you.

You don't have to work in fashion to recognise a pair of Chanel boots and especially THOSE Viv Westwood ones... the pirate boots have been shown everywhere and worn by everyone during the last decade...
