The Model
Morgane Dubled, 22, is from Nice in France. She started modelling three years ago after she dropped out of medical school and found herself short of money. She is the face of the latest Jean Paul Gaultier campaign and lives alone in a small flat in the centre of Paris
6.45am It's a great feeling to wake up at home. Last week I was in Stuttgart and London as well as Paris. Today I take a shower and put on an agnès b mini-skirt, Kennedy jacket and Helmut Lang heels. My top, like most of my tops, is from Topshop.
7.30am It's the second day of the Paris shows. Today I'm on time for the driver. Sometimes he has to call me because I'm not out of bed. I try to sleep as much as I can, though even when I am not working I'm awake by 9.30am. My grandmother used to say, 'Life belongs to those who get up early.'
7.45am My first show is Chanel, at the Grand Palais. As soon as I arrive, I run to the buffet; I'm always starving in the morning and Chanel is famous for having the best breakfast. I have a croissant, some fruit and tea while having my hair and make-up done. I never take coffee. They've built an amazing catwalk with stairs. The mood is great.
11am I rush to the Revillon show. It's about 20 minutes away and there's some traffic so I arrive late. I'm with a very nice Belgian girl, called Ann Catherine, who is signed to the same agency as me. It's nice because she speaks French, plus she is 25, not 16 like most of the other models, so we can talk properly.
The show is designed by Rick Owens. It's the first time I've worked with him and he seems like a lovely, talented and calm person.
1.30pm I have to rush again, this time to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts for the Christian Lacroix show. There's no time for a real lunch so I just grab some little sandwiches and fruit from the backstage buffet. When I have a day off I make sure I go to a nice restaurant with some friends, order a big piece of meat and stay as long as I can!
I love the hair and make-up at Lacroix - it's very fresh, with some ancient Greek inspiration. The show is about being a princess and people are very respectful. It's one of the only shows where people applaud after every dress.
4pm Now that I've finished the shows, I have to go for fittings for tomorrow. I go to Jean Paul Gaultier first.
While I'm waiting I get interviewed by the television channel Paris Première, which is making a programme about the label. They are very easy questions - what am I wearing, how old am I, etc. I think they are just happy to find a French-speaking model.
Jean Paul and Lionel, his first assistant, dress me in a blue shorts-and-blouse all-in-one with a dark red gilet. Jean Paul tells me this is an important outfit, and later I see it in all the magazines. He is very sweet and always asks how you feel in an outfit, and if you want to change anything before deciding on it.
8.30pm I go to the Champs-Elysées for a fitting with Elie Saab, who is known for his evening and wedding gowns. There are a lot of people here, and meetings about music, hair and make-up go on around us. The sizes are good, though, so the fitting is quick.
10pm I'm on a television show on France 4 tomorrow, so I go to meet the interviewer at her office in the 1st arrondissement to discuss the questions. I'm tired so I don't stay long.
11pm I'm finally home after this crazy day. I'm too lazy to cook so I go for a quick dinner with my boyfriend, who I haven't seen in a while. We eat at a little brasserie in Les Halles, near my apartment, and talk about music and friends and projects for the future. It's nice to empty my head of fashion.
1am To sleep - in my own bed, for a change.
