Recently I saw Shakira's video "Did it Again"...and thought it was one of the best music videos i've seen, the choreography was very creative I was in awe of it and kept re-watching it on Youtube. It was certainly something completely different than what I usually see in music videos. It's definitely one of my all time favorites.

Which videos do you think are some of the most fascinating that you have seen? Or maybe inspirational? A video that triggered a certain memory or maybe it triggered a certain emotion or maybe it impacted you in one way or another Or a video that you just love because you simply like it ? Please share and tell us why :flower:

Here is the link to Shakira's video.

^ :buzz: All I did was watch a minute of it and I was floored! Such a good video!

Would it be all that unoriginal if I said Lady Gaga's Bad Romance is one of the best videos I have seen?

^ No, it wouldn't. :D

I think "Crazy In Love" by Beyoncé, is one of the best music videos of the decade. Not to mention "Hung Up" by Madonna and "I'm a Slave 4U" by Britney.

^ That reminds me... Beyoncé's "All The Single Ladies" isn't bad either. Lots of energy in that one! ^_^

'Hung Up' :buzz:

Oh boy, I'm going to loooove this thread.

I saw the Lady Gaga's bad romance vid, really creative.

Another one that is sure to get your attention but strays away from mainstream pop is the New Pornographers video for "Mutiny I Promise".

goldfrapp's 'lovely head' video directed by wolfgang tillmans

just these funny, mundane images that wolfgang is so known for and alison acting silly as she sometimes can be,which i simply adore. and it also can be interpreted in correlation with the song about this woman who just goes mad being in the middle of nowhere.

portishead-all mine

creepy little girl lip-synching...immersed in a 50's/60's music show setting with a band that does nothing....a real statement i think. and just glorious and intense.

I never really knew about it all that much, but I was also so surprised that a director like Michael Bay directed Victoria's Secret commercials. I can only imagine who is directing music videos for huge stars. :woot:

I figure I would just post it!

If you haven't seen it already, watch it. It's edited so well.

I don't like her last red outfit, but the rest of the video makes up for it:
pink wig
Alexander McQueen shoes
her head piece
the scene with the crown, staring into the mirror

May I ask what makes britney's "I'm a slave for you" one of the best?

I do agree that Madonna's "Hung up" was fantastic.

I'd like to add the White Stripe's "I just don't know what to do with myself"

I think Kate Moss was sensational here...Enjoy :flower:

^^ Her transition from squeaky clean pop star, to sexed up pop princess.
Not to mention the panting and sexy outfits, plus the choreography.

Come to think of it, 'Toxic' is an amazing video as well! :woot: Who agrees?

For me, the most memorable video I've ever seen is Prodigy's Smack My b*tch Up by Jonas Akerlund. To this day I still think it's brilliant.

Madonna's Frozen video really is a classic that has stood the test of time. She's a mystical creature writhing in the desert, morphing into a dog and black crows. What I really like about it is it's not a "typical" Madonna pop tart video. A lot of the music videos today, especially female artists, are so mindless and rely too much on sex and skin with no artistic integrity. Cunningham really took her to another level and it's my favorite Madge video.

^ I agree I loved that video it kept me wondering, trying to make sense of what the story behind it was when I first saw it

I wish she would have made a video for her song "Swim" because I LOVE that song. It's probably my favorite Madonna song ever, and I would have loved to see what kind of video she would've released for it. Perhaps the video would have been something ethereal and beautiful, just like the song itself.
