Yea but the Kerry girls are not accustomed to public speaking. They were awkward, but what do we expect...really they were not such a horror show.

I will say they could have put a little more effort into their overall appearance...hair and clothing were not well concidered.

Was there not a little too much christina aguilera in this show?

Alicia Keys is just so talented its about time we saw her attempting to look the part that she is becoming in the music world.

Maybe Jennifer lopez wore that lame hat because its so damn difficult to keep a good hair style in Miami, its so humid...then again she couldve done a chic little bun or something. She's gotten so lame.

I got really tired of everyone saying Miami is my home, my second home...blah blah blah. There goes the neighborhood.

OMG me too! but the crowd reaaally pissed me off, i swear they'll scream and cheer for anything, to the point that you can't even hear the people saying something important onstage. and if the camera pans on them just a little, that whole section has to stand up and wave and scream "HI MOM!" and "REPRESENT!", did you see when usher was going up to accept his award and these two guys were blocking him and screaming something into the camera and he had to push them away? i almost fell off my seat laughing
o0oo and nobodys said anything about carmens dress, i think she's really made an effort, it comes off a little as trashy but it leans more to the classy side, a lot better than jessica's i think.

lol I'm going to agree with you. I liked what gwenyth, gwen & alicia keys were wearing, but in general I thought most of the people looked kind of tacky

I am SO impressed with what Jessica Simpson wore to the awards. Her new hairdo is so flattering and that dress is very chic. I've seen better, but for Jessica, this is the best outfit I've seen her in lately. Thumbs up to Miss Simpson.

As for Miss Simpson NO 2 (AKA Ashley), she looks decent, but there's something so gross about her face. I can't figure it out. She's pretty and all, but maybe it's that chin, or that greasy hair or face.. ...I don't get it. She's cute but there's something akward about her. She's SO not ROCK.

The Olsen Twins look fab, though I'd expect them to look better.

Usher is simply gross. Who on earth does he think he his? He's just a fugly wannabe singer with a fugly "bird" voice.

I thought Alicia Keys and Gwen Stefani were a bit off last night. Alicia's dress was neat, but the hair was not working on her. Gwen Stefani is morphing into a Madonna clone (think Madonna in the Evita days), not that it's hideous, but her hair thingy was not very pretty.

Gwyneth is as boring as she's been lately.

Beyonce looked simply ! Wearing shorts completely ruined the whole thing (as if it wasn't already ugly enough) .

Christina Aguilera deserves a standing ovation, she looked so cute last night....
But she needs to stop wearing crazy push up bras, her boobs looked extremely weird in the black dress she was wearing on stage.

Miami white was the theme at Sunday night's MTV VMAs, as music's best and brightest lit up the night in their most pristine duds. Fashion angels JESSICA SIMPSON, CARMEN ELECTRA and CHRISTINA AGUILERA strutted their stuff in the heavenly shade, while USHER, SEAN "P.Diddy" COMBS and JAY-Z backed them up in gangsta white.

Our STEVEN COJOCARU was on the carpet and has the latest on who soared and who bored!

"It's a new breeze in fashion," the fashion guru declared.

Defying the sticky Miami heat, the stars showed off their brightest whites. The always luscious Carmen vamped it up in a billowy number with a draping neckline and a silver diamond broach at the waist by AZZARO. Jessica Simpson wore a classic dress with silver bodice, while her sister ASHLEE arrived in a strapless, shirred, white JENNIFER NICHOLSON number with a flirty, lace hem, and shoes by SERGIO ROSSI.

"I am almost 20, so I thought I would dress as a woman," Ashlee told Cojo. "I have never really had a chance to wear dressy dresses. "

Usher stepped off his ocean-skimming ride looking sharp in his yachting whites, with his shirt open to the waist, nearly revealing those solid abs. Yeah!

"You have a 15-pack," Cojo kidded the multi-VMA winner, who responded, "You haven't seen the show yet."

Usher was Cojo's pick as Best Dressed Man of the evening, but the R&B singer didn't want to be compared to Sean. "Don't make it a competition between us," Usher declared. "He is like family. Some of [my style] comes from his early days. That was my glamour school. Now I am doing things my way."

His are-they-or-aren't-they-dating? duet pal, ALICIA KEYS shimmered in an embroidered gold gown by DOLCE & GABBANA.

And Cojo promised. "Tonight I am going to say you look like a bombshell, glamour girl."

Speaking of precious metals, solid-gold winner BEYONCÉ looked just that in a dazzling metallic jacket and hot pants with sparkling, sequined trim, designed by her mom, TINA KNOWLES. Her dapper date, Jay-Z, put on the ritz with a fedora hat and matching gold and white striped tie.

Another fashion rave was the always glam GWEN STEFANI, who channeled '40s pin-up BETTY GRABLE in a curve-hugging, scarlet skirt with a matching floral headpiece and a girlish bustier with white and black ribboned trim.

"They only told me yesterday I was coming to Miami," Gwen shared. "Luckily, I tired this amazing outfit on the other day."

And JENNIFER LOPEZ did her own thang with a bronze, strapless gown with red, yellow and gold colored panels and a hippie-dippy brown hat.
