Ok.... so, in two weeks arrives the alice in wonderland collection. I think i'll go for what's the cattitude. Any thoughts about it??
Oh, and anyone tried jade is the new black?

Oh my gosh! RBL Bikini Bottom is amazing! I must have it! I just checked out their website and I am going to add Square Pants (a pale yellow) to my must-have list. I hope they are nice quality!

I think Square Pants is being discontinued. It's a gorgeous color but needs a lot of coats to become opaque.

I love Etude house nail polish..the colors are great and they dry so fast..

I'm totally amazed by China Glaze, I got 2 ChG nail polishes, Frostbite and Ruby Pumps. Love the brush, they dry really fast, I don't know about chipping, but I'll find out soon.
I've tried Frostbite today:

I thought it had frost finish (which I really dislike),because of the name, but thank god it wasn't. Or at least it doesn't look like one of those horrible frosties.:ninja:

^I'm hunting for one too. Some of the MUA top picks are:

Seche Vite Top Coat
Poshe Top Coat
Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat
Essie Good To Go Top Coat
Sally Hansen Age Correct No Chip Base + Top Coat

Sadly they don't sell most of these brands here. I'll have to stick with the Essie Good To Go Top Coat. :D

^ michyed- I was going to buy the Essie top coat, is it any good? Does it easily chip?

^I haven't actually gotten it yet, but I'll let you know when I do.
For now, you might want to read the reviews on MUA. Most of them are very positive :D

I have used Essie Good to Go top coat.
My bottle was a bit on the thicker side so it was a bit hard to get that nice smooth finish, but in general, I liked it. It dried rather quickly and my manis still looked pretty good after a few days!

I've also used Poshe and loved it!

I use Seche Vite and love it! It also dries super fast. Just remember to apply over still wet polish, otherwise it might peel.

OPI top coat is really great! I have the same nail polish for 5 days and it still looks like the first day :p

^Which OPI top coat do you use?

I got a manicure at an OPI salon 4 days ago. I found that their topcoat was very prone to little air bubbles... But you are right - absolute NO chipping, and my nail polish looks as good as new!

I like Seche Vite for the most part but I feel like I don't know when the best time to apply it.. when the polish is wet? half dry? I've had times where I appled Seche Vite over wet polish and while the clear coat dried, I would accidentally smudge the nail and the color underneath was still wet and I'd end up with a wrinkled nail! I find that Seche Vite is prone to air bubbles too. Air bubbles are the bane of my existence!

I've never used a top or base coat, but I will definitely invest in some. Although, what is the difference in using some and not using any? I just got really into nail polish so any tips would be much appreciated.

Is Essie or OPI base coats any good?

Thank you! What is MUA?

I read that using a hair dryer on low heat works pretty good, anyone else heard of that?

I really want 'You don't know Jacques' by OPI. I just love the color.

^Base coat is said to "protect" your nails from the nail polish, and also fill in any ridges and uneven areas on the surface. I don't really bother with base coat because I buff away the ridges beforehand. Top coat protects the nail polish from chipping, lengthens the wear and usually leaves your nails with a longer lasting shine. I don't think I could do without topcoat, especially on my Chanel polishes.

The manicurist at the OPI salon actually used a hair dryer (cold) to dry my nails! :p

MUA = Makeupalley. They've got reviews for everything imaginable in cosmetics/skincare/haircare there. Check it out, it gets addicting! You might have to sign up for an account to read some of those reviews!
