Natalia Vodianova is due to give birth to her second baby on March 21. According to The Daily, she is expecting a girl whom she plans to name Nieva, which translates as 'river' in the cK model's native Russian. Vodianova, who will give birth in London and already has a son Lucas with her husband Justin Portman, is scheduled to shoot the new Calvin Klein campaign just two weeks later.

That's strange ... The Nieva does not mean "river" in Russian at all. Russian word for river would be in Russian pronunciation something like "rjeka".
Nieva sounds more like name of Neva river in St.Petersburg.

Did Natalia decide to take the same path as Posh and started to name kids after geographical locations?
Or is it just simple misunderstanding by Vogue people ?

^That's what I thought! Nieva means "snow" in Spanish, "Neva" means nothing, but I knew it didn't mean river in Russian...

In an article I posted quite a while ago called "Super Vodianova", she mentioned naming the child after a Russian river, not the Russian word for river, I think that just got mixed up in the media.

FALL 2006 RTW WRAP-UP: MODELS
Natalia Vodianova on Calvin Klein

"It's still Calvin because it's very simple lines, but it's Francisco's craftwork. It's the little details he puts in that make it his. Since Francisco started at Calvin, I've been with him and I'm really proud of him."

I love Natalia and her husband together, they look very much in love. In my opinion, though, i think he has very feminine qualities. His lips and the way he smiles and his eyes look a little too womanly for me. Cute though!

Model Natalia Vodianova tells tales from the powder room

Hi guys! I did as Faith akiyama (thanks by the way!) and typed the interwiw in Tatler March issue ^_^;

How long does it take you to get ready to go out?
A glamorous party probably take me an hour, otherwise five minutes. I believe in mood. If I’m in a good mood I will go out; if I’m not, nothing will help. No outfit, no make-up.

What about your husband, Justin Portman [younger brother of Viscount Portman]?
He’s completely low-maintenance - once a week I put moisturiser on him and he’s, like; ´Aaargh.` I actually have to force him to look after himself…I even dress him, OK?

If you were going out, what would you put on as a bare minimum?
Definitely something for the lips. Glam Shine Juice lip gloss in the Nude Juice shade by L’Oréal is perfect for winter and it isn’t too sticky. Also, I never leave without my mascara on and my credit card.

How do you keep your skin glowing despite all the make-up you have to wear?
It’s quite difficult, and very important for me because it’s comforting to have a good skin. Lately I’ve been cleaning it every night with Lancôme Galatée Confort cleanser, which the make-up artist Pat McGrath uses. I’ve also been using L’Oréal’s Pure Zone Anti-Regreasing Moisturiser so I don’t get spots. My best friend is a dermatologist, but he doesn’t help! He did give me a good tip, though. I try to wash my face with tap water and I spray it with Avéne’s Eau Thermal.

You live a jet-set life, so how do you disguise tiredness?
A little bit of foundation, champagne and vitamin C. I take Berocca or any equivalent. And it’s all about moisturising. I drink a lot of water, I bathe in Kiehl’s Satin Soft Moisturising Soluble Bath Oil and I exfoliate with Pineapple Sugar Rub by Pure Fiji. I know that all this stuff seems expensive and kind of stupid, but you really need it.

Has motherhood affected your job?
It may have made me better at it. After I gave birth I was very skinny. I lost all my baby fat and designers loved it. I think people started to take me more seriously, they saw me as a more grown-up person.

What’s your favourite beauty shop in New York?
Great Jones Spa on Great Jones Street - amazing facials, steam rooms, Jacuzzis, etc. The whole atmosphere is wonderful. You could spend an entire day there.

Have Eastern European models replaced Brazilians?
I think it’s not about where you’re from. There are many Brazilian beauties and, thank God, many Russians and we are all friends.

What do you miss most from Russia?
Black bread - the real meaty Russian bread. It’s not the way you have it here, with grains and stuff that just drives me mad. And beautiful watermelons fro the Ukraine.

What is the best-kept beauty secret among models?
I don’t have one. My grandmother always told me just to stay natural. When I was 13 she saw me with tweezers in front of the mirror because my eyebrows used to join together and she was, like `Aaargh, what are you doing, are you crazy? You’re so beautiful, your big eyebrows, you’ll regret it one day.` And she was right. Thank God she stopped me.

Who takes care of your hair?
Orlando Pita - I love him! He did my hair for my first Gucci show, and I think Tom Ford fell in love with it and I’m sure that’s why I got the Gucci campaign. Not a bad reason to love him!

Your hair’s really wavy. What products do you use?
I really like Kérastase Oléo-Ralex Anti-Frizz Serum. It keeps it in check without making it look dull or greasy, just shiny and healthy. Also L’Oréal Paris Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum. It conditions your hair while providing sun protection and adding a little highlight as well.

If you could change one thing about your appearance, what would it be?
My poor, damaged toes. They got like that from wearing shoes that are too tight.

What’s your worst beauty vice?
Not always using sunscreen.

What was the last beauty product you bought?
Pat McGrath had been using this amazing Armani foundation on me and I went out and bought three. They cost 50 bucks each.

Are you more a vodka or a vitamins girl?
I don’t eat crap food like pizza or hamburgers. I eat really well, which comes from my childhood. Of course I love vodka, but everything has to be in moderation. I’m not a health freak. (interview by Antonia Whyatt)

Mucho thanks, Faith Akiyama and Donna, for typing those articles. I know, it must've been a lot of work...
Thank you, girls. :flower:

she looks really good in all those ck ones, but the last one doesn't look like her at all! lol

From American and British Vogue, London Fashion week cocktail party.
