New York Fashion Week Schedule S/S 06 September 8-16

Fashion Week Tickets

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to get tickets for fashion week in New York?

thanks

I just noticed... What's Kate Spade doing? I thought she resisted doing a ready-to-wear line.

Scott, thank you for the info !

You made my day!!! I'm surprised there's nothing, zilch on his show so far. I'm a bit worried that his Baader-Meinhof nonsense is going to turn the usual posse off, too dark and political, although he makes it all gorgeous (but then BM is a sexy outfit - like Hannelore Knuts with Kalashnikov). He should do his thing, not say a word about where that came from, and those editors won't have the faintest clue.

After seeing Alice Roi, I'm not holding out a lot of hope for the aging indies, including Tess Giberson, though I hope she bucks the trend so far. I'll keep an eye out for both.

^you're welcome :flower:

I hope it gets posted soon, though :innocent:

Re: Roi and Tess--Well, Roi is not even in the same league as Tess Giberson,to be perfectly blunt. Tess,of course,is alot more creative...and is aesthetically more driven than Alice is...she's also a bonafide craftswoman-which I think holds no candle to any NY talents except maybe Cloak. Roi is really just a trendy hipster designer...much like an underrated Anna Sui or something. I can understand why she's fizzeled away.

faust, you're not pulling my leg are you? That sounds unbelievable...ack!

I was SO looking forward to his show this SS as he finally got some recognition for his A/W05...tragic for NY Fashion....

Is he really an exploitative jerk? That would be contradictory to all his "Baader-Meinhof" posturing wouldn't it?

Unfortunately that's been the word. Don't kill the messenger :D .

Scott, could it be that Tess had a baby and she's not showing? Wasn't she visibly pregnant at the last season's show, which would be 6 months ago?

^^ Someone posted an update on that, she had the baby and is designing for TSE instead of doing a TG collection this season.

Well, she gave birth in April I think, according to a on-line friend who interned with her this summer. So I dunno....if either she just had alot of responsability with the baby + showing...she probably did forgo the staging for showroom. Still, she could be deciding to show in Paris too.

Oh,so she's not doing her own collection this season?! I don't remember reading that part, actually. I knew she was doing Tse but that's for next Autumn.

tess has permanently put her line on hold to focus exclusively on the TSE collection. she did have a baby named ezra( boy) and shipped her last deliveries for fall. so there will be no s/s 2006 spring collection. i am glad she god the TSE job though as i really like her a lot , and i did work with her for about two weeks in her first season.

patrik rzepski did show on saturday, i saw one picture of it in womenswear daily...

Thanks,for the info,Zamb*

That kind of makes me sad in a way. Since she actually started showing, her collections have always been the highlight of the week for me. But I am happy she's doing TSE,though.

PS: I loved her debut collection, btw!

OMG, I just looked at the John Batrlett "fashion" show. It was so disgusting that I'm not even going to start a thread on it. I'd buy Duckie Brown over it in a heartbeat.

Permanently put her line on hold?

What does that mean? Is it permanently gone, or is it on hold?

Thanks for any info
