i'm guessing the ???? aim for a answer to what IMG shows means so i'll try to answer (i can't be 100% accurate, but this is what i think it means :P )

IMG is the company that provides the space for the shows (before in Bryant Park, now Lincoln Center), infrastructure, personnel... as it centralizes things, it just makes it easier, and in some ways cheaper, for designers to show their work to the largest audience possible.

non IMG shows are (for example) Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra, Oscar de la Renta... all these companies stage the shows on their own so they must be in charge of the whole thing.

similar to what IMG provides, is the Milk studio (the other big location for fashion shows, just a bit more alternative). Rad Hourani, Richard Chai, Jeremy Scott, Threeasfour all show there.

I was wondering about Marc,Rodarte and Proenza too(which are the only DECENT shows of the whole fashion week)
 
weak weak weak! hideously boring schedule. Marc should move to europe like London or Paris he'd be far more relevant there.

well, it's the usual...
"my clothes are soooooo diviiiiiine you've got to see them up close"
but of course, some other sources have said that it's because it's CEO/President (i forgot) has been absent or whatever, so they are doing a presentation and saving up to $500000

au contraire! a good show among MANY MANY lame shows is always much better in contrast.
if he showed in paris, he would be just one out of many of the great shows in the city :smile:
plus, Marc is a New Yorker so it's good that he supports his city
 
actually ralph rucci cancelled his show because the president of his company is taking an extended medical leave...
