Oliver Twist

Oliver is an orphan born in a workhouse. Though he is treated with cruelty for most of his life and he's raised in corrupt sorroundings, his purity and virtue are absolute, he doesn't present a complex picture of a person torn between good and evil- instead, he is goodness incarnate. Mathias reminds me of Oliver here because of his look, not only his dirty clothes and that hat but also because of that look in his eyes, you can tell he's sweet and innocent.

There are not many people that can say that they haven't seen one of the all time best films, 'Gone with the wind'. A story about war, selfishness and above all things, love. The story tells of a turbulant love affair between the beautiful but manipulative Scarlett O'Hara and the roguish Rhett Butler.​

One of cinema's most excititng love stories, 'Gone with the wind' is set with a backdrop surrounding war and unsettlement of a nation. The devishly handsome Rhett and bewitching Scarlett embark on a love affair amid the chaos that the civil war brings to their lives. Both, are against the war but can they change the views of the other inhabitants of Atlanta?​

Not unlike the story in this breathtaking film, Marios has begun a relationship with the most beautiful maiden in Rome. However the war around them threatens to affect their love affair and every corner that is turned on Romes' ancient streets, suddenly invites danger. Marios and his lover, like Rhett and Scarlett, do not believe in the war but are entangled in the madness that surrounds them.​

This picture reminds me of the very famous film poster for 'Gone with the wind' which shows the heart warming image of Rhett with Scarlett in his arms, about to plant the softest of all kisses on her faintly painted lips. Marios has the same smouldering eyes and old fashioned looks as Rhett Butler and this picture reminds me of not only Rhett but the beautiful film poster which shows him and Scarlett as they prepare to embrace, with fire and images of war surrounding them. But they have forgotten about the war, they are only interested in that one moment in time, loves first kiss...​

DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE? In that true, unselfish love? It's time to disclose the backstair truth of one of the most illustrious couple of all time - Romeo and Juliet.​

Verona, Italy - Renaissance - We all know that story... The Capulets & the Montegues (no, not the rock bands, but the noble families), two quarrelled quarters and two young lovers who would do anything to be together. Yeah, anything - even die. Another question - would you die for love? Let's continue! We are in Italy, imagine all those spitfires, vicious customs (I'm not slinging mud at Italy, just imagine it!) and other piquancies of medieval Europe. Romeo and Juliet meet in private and everything looks OK. >>> CUT <<< Oh yeah, we all know it (except myself, I never paid attention...)... a covert wedding, from time to time some skirmishes, hanky-panky with a false poison, one big misunderstanding, hanky-panky with a REAL poison (no, not that Dior perfume ) and a resulting exitus and in the end another death. That's terrible! What an inspiration for silly teenagers! ...Well... what can we see in the picture? That dandyish dude on the left is, YES, Romeo and that girl is Juliet? Haha no, error kids! It's one of the best courtezans of Verona! Shocked? Yeah, you're not alone! The couple had been photoed a few moments before Romeo returned to the tomb (he found "dead" Juliet there, decided to die too, wanted to buy a poison but on his way back got an appetite... you know... So he went to the municial fancy house and...) Both of them in contemporary clothing (see the exposed breast - the heritage of antique in renaissance or the sign of a prostitute?)... The magnanimous Romeo tips the courtesan, we can see the determination and the vision of a near death in his eyes and the lack of interest and impassibility in hers. Here ends the happy life of young Romeo, of a young man with human needs, of a young man infatuated with a landless love.​
