Next Top Model: Successes and Failures

Germany's Next Top Model:
I don't want to say the other don't have any success at all but Barbara Meier seems the only girl getting constantly jobs on a good level. Not only 1 good job per year like some of the others but good jobs from time to time. She's for sure the most successful of those who took part of this competition.

International:
Suvi is probably the most successful of all those who ever won! She's doing great!

Agree on Barbara.

The most successefull girls from all NTMs for me are Barbara, Ksenia and Alice.

And yes, she was in 'Madame Figaro', FashionCapital.

Eh whats the point of this thread, it's like a mish mash of all the NTM threads.
agreed
and yes, suvi is the most successfull i guess, folowed by alice/ksenia [even though i hate ksenia so much!]

Xiao Yi Dai, winner of China's next top model. She's not famous yet, but she has done quite well.

An one-time girl from GNTM, she is doing really good,

she was the mainmodel of RC Vodka

I was thinking the same thing... I wonder why is that...Its not like the US Version havn't had some good girls with High potential...

Patricia van der Vliet has got to be the best sucess story...
She went from reality to a PRADA Exclusive and closing Balenciaga...
Patricia you on ur way to the top babe!

i'd say prada is overrated but closing balenciaga is a big deal to me so yeah, i guess she is the biggest succes yet
[i still love you alice!]

She was also at Nina Ricci today...opened BCBG, was at Herve Leger and closed Preen in NYC....you go girl. She was a finalist in the show, but ended up in third place, by the way.

oh my  she is definitely the biggest success. even bigger than alice with all her eds and campaigns

the American version should just call it a day. none of those girls have made it.

^ you can blame Tyra for that. She picks people who would never get a gig if they went to a regular casting.

I believe she's not sincere, she only wants to still see her name in the spotlight by having controversy surrounding her show (ie, picking a plus sized model as a winner, having this season being only about models 5'7" and below, etc) but not exactly producing a winner who could actually move on to become the next top model.

yeah maybe she is a bit delusional, like her tastes on the show are going to somehow filter into castings in high fashion world..

I don't think she's delusional, I think she and the other producers just know that the show needs big personalities and stories or else ratings would plummet, and that people like camp and tacky more than hard-faced professionals.

It still comes down to the true definition of a succeessful modelling career. IMO someone that goes to a reality show to become a famous model should expect a more commercial career which is the case on ANTM

Something that bothers me about ANTM contestants is the good ones never really chase it, or chase it in the wrong places, while the ones who are really mediocre do. I feel sorry for the casting directors on ANTM, they have a really hard time finding girls who look modelesque at the open calls.

I agree girls like Toccara and Eva the diva are raking in more money than Anya or Heather

Patricia booked 3 great shows today:
