Nicholas Kirkwood

I think the price on those are quite high due to the use of reptile skins. Looks like snake/lizard to me. I actually NK is one of the most reasonably priced upscale shoes out there. Often less than Louboutin and I think you get a lot more for your money

i agree with you that the prices are reasonable. the details are very are done lavishly.
but the price in this case is just too high for me... unfortunately. but if some TFS member will get them, she has the obligation to show modelling pics.^^

i want to see how they look on the foot.

i love how he changed the heel a little bit, made it more straight. it makes the designs less repetetive

Here is some more F/W stuff (from style.com):

I love the creative use of lizard and python.

Oh I definitely agree with you on that, but the price range this season is too much for me. :(

yeah really horribly beautiful!

anyway, the one that everyone loves comes in a better priced version as pictured above!
i do like the new higher platform...

they're all so amazing I cant pick a favorite. I have one pair and they are probably the most comfortable high heels I own.

A swatch of lizard/snakeskin still doesn't justify that price. I've seen Loubies for much less that have used more!

Just to clarify, I wasn't saying $1800 for shoes was reasonable. I was saying that in the high-end shoe market, I find Kirkwood fairly reasonably priced compared to other high end shoe brands, esp. considering the style elements. Shoes that for him are 700-800 would be 1100-1400 for Choo or Louboutin.

I still love the graphic art deco influences he uses. so pretty

that was exactly what i meant. i mean, look at the louis vuitton shoes (i don't know that name) from summer season ( i think) they were soo expensive and not even special in my opinion.

I have to agree that for the level of detail, his shoes are very reasonably priced. I think Meg has the price comparison spot on, you'd be paying alot for the same shoe if they were produced by some other big label. Plus Kirkwood has a unique signature style and they not so widely available. Shoe prices are reaching ridiculous levels in general!

The fall shoes are amazing. Here are my NKs, recently purchased on e-bay:

Does anyone know, if purchased in the United States rather than from LVR, the prices would be any lower? I really want the black/white exotic booties, but $1400 is just a little too much for me. I would prefer to spend no more than $1200, and less than $1000 would be dreamy...

Try Plum Toronto, the Canadian currency might help, but I'm not sure..

^Just saw in the new V that they are twelve eighty-something here in the US. My prayers have been answered! :)
