Nicolas Ghesquière - Designer, Creative Director of Louis Vuitton

Custom "Le Marie" looks for Chloe Moretz wedding.
First gown is inspired by Isola Bella Cruise 2024 collection with the twirling satin ruffles but make it less pretentious and more wearable, obsessed with it, great look.

Suit look is a disaster though, terrible fit and that twisted jacket gives Givenchy Couture on a jacket. Funnily enough, the best version of that kind of jacket was designed by Dundas for Cavalli FW03.

all looks like disney sci fi movie costume and in daylight cheap

It’s going to be a no for me.
Surprised he didn’t add an ugly belt to the gown tbh.

It’s just downright ugly and cheap looking. I would think that dress was designed by a dressmaker, not a skilled designer if I didn’t know any better

The veil is gorgeous though

The white look is inspired by the Resort 2019.
It’s a top.

Interesting. I bet it was her choice to go for the blue dress as a base. Interesting choice. I’m not a fan of either one of those looks but I’m quite surprised to see that she is actually such a risk taker.

She is not one the girls who looks the best in Ghesquiere’s edgiest propositions. I always felt like she was trying too hard but her surprising choices for her wedding actually shows that it’s in her sensibility.

I applaud her for going for something not traditional. In retrospect, even if I loved my wedding dress, I should have went for something less traditional…like A Rick Owens!

Her wife’s dress is very beautiful. Maybe more traditional but exquisite.

You could tell me Rodarte sisters designed it and I would believe. Both looks are hideous and cheap looking. Quite embarrassing for a designer like Nicolas.

I am loving the red carpets looks he's making (can someone post the photos please 😂)

Cloe dress is beautiful. Do you people really find it cheap? Because the fabric looks so esquisite to me, the way it fits just right, the detail thing.

She must have been promised global Vogue covers and a hefty check; I can’t see any other reason someone would wear that dress on ‘the most important day’

Having seen his dresses up close at the Palais Galliera exhibition, I honestly think most people would be better off choosing a Rick Owens gown :blackheart:

Yes! The funny thing is that I’m not a bridal fashion type of woman. I had all my 3 other looks very planned and prepared (I had my Chanel dress planned for a decade) but for the main dress, I went very traditional with Delphine Manivet.
Lanvin’s collection Blanche was long gone. I’m not a Westwood type of woman. Alaia’s offering was slightly underwhelming. I tried the classic wedding brands. I even went to Elie Saab!

Only Maison Rabih Kayrouz and Martin Grant had some options that could work. And a lot of brands are just doing column cady dresses.

I only realized that I should have went for Rick Owens after watching the SS2022 show with those amazing gowns. And he is indeed a good option. I don’t know how they should advertise it but it should be one of the brands to consider as an option for many women indeed.

But back to NG, I think Sophie Turner’s dress was way better. It’s his 4th celebrity wedding dress right?
But when it comes to wedding dress, the bride has the power.

Completely unrelated to the design discussion but this came up randomly on my YT feed and LOL what a glow up he had. I will take what he got...the perks of being a millionaire high fashion designer I guess LOL.
