the novak isn't heavy AT ALL its really light. One of my drawbacks to the snakeskin trim is it does make it more dressy.

I love the chain shoes.

I am on the list for them. they are supposed to be in anytime now...well the silver ones are...I am on the list for both. I think I will do silver bc I have alot of gold shoes including the DADA shoes.....

so I might have her put the snake novak in the box...who knows.

gold overeload. the shoes are really comfy. mcqueen shoes are well priced. They had the chain up at neimans.com for like 2 days...but they got the lizard version in...and it was an all lizard shoe in blck or forest deep deep green for like 595...that is great! but I got the all black bc it came in first and I am impulsive!

OT but right now looking at those shoes, i'm really feeling like moving out of the city just so i can drive everywhere and wear fabulous shoes like you lovely girls. it's v. annoying going out at night and not knowing whether you'll be able to get a limo or cab when you want to.

I love highheels. in texas...you get in your car, get out walk in and sit. so I can do it. I can walk about 5-6 hours in them though

those gold shoes are great... but won't the metal dig into your skin?

I am getting them on approval...so we shall see. If they do...they are going back...you know the always change the runway stuff to be more practical.

I am kinda hoping they hurt so I don't have to keep them...or won't want to...they are reallly $$$$$$

omg, i love the python novak combo, but i don't think i am going for the novak anymore. it's too dresssy for me and i rather have a bag (muse, bfendi) that can be casual and dressy. but the novak is such a beautiful bag though! i hope someone here will get the python one so she can post pics.

edit: that reminds me, i saw both the NAVY BLUE OSTRICH and TAN/BEIGE OSTRICH leather novaks at NM San Francisco this weekend. i think they were under $4k. the navy blue one was VERY pretty!!

shopping THAT was what I was on the list for at Mcqueen the navy ostrich...but I got off bc I was like...well if I don't wear brown I can't get navy bc navy + black is BAD

I own the red leather Novak for some months now - here's my "evaluation":

I have to second what's already been said here, the leather does get unforgivably scratched (btw, thanks for the tip about using apple leather conditioner).

Imho, the brown and the red leather do not compare in real life, the red is bright and beautiful, while I found the brown a little dim and boring (plus, the scratches show a lot lot more). The black is also a beauty - not too shiny, not too dim - just right! The croc is of course the best by far, but the price tag..... ahhhhh.....

The bag is light and relatively easy to carry around (with the handicap of always having to hold it of course), and it has ample space to fit all the necessary items, while it has the great advantage of never loosing its shape, no matter if it's almost empty or extremely stuffed. It can be used day and night (an exception is of course a very dressed up occasion) and it can be a great life saver on many occasions one cannot decide in what style to go - it's always right! It's a great buy for working girls, very chic for the office.

It's also a good buy for people that like to be seen with items few other people carry.

Overall, I'm satisfied with my choice, especially since I only paid 550 euros (in HK dollars) for it! (from Joyce, Hong Kong, they seem to have an inexaustible stock of Novaks!)

I've had the brown since the bags first came out, after returning a red one. The red was just a bit too red (maybe only because anything that's not grey looks too bright in london!). The brown is a really warm shade of chocolate brown. The black looks rather dull to me, but I only saw it under store lighting.

Definitely agree with everyone on the ostrich. The blue is just fantastic!!
