'Nu-Rave'

i love this look, i wouldn't really do such vibrant colours, maybe monochromatic blacks with a bit of red or neon blue here and there...

I love neons, but only in accessories, or some good quality clothing in the summer. However, never from head to toe, try too hard, too flashy, tacky.

I dont know where you're all from to say rave doesnt exist anymore but it definitely does down here. Not that this 'nu-rave' style represents our rave style. All the fluro of this nu-rave stuff is more electro mainstream style. I love those trainers though. They are hot.

I quite like more 'urban' rave acually....more like hoodies and old nikes with bits of neon, not so much leggings and leotards. I find a lot of the people doing this look are just doing it for fun but there are a few who take it too seriously. it's so weird how this has come back...wasn't there some kind of neon thing about 4/3 years ago? though it wasnt so much about "raves".

I like it ... it's a look I;d put together when going out hard-house clubbing...

I am sick of it already! I liked it about a year ago, but soon got over the whole thing. I like the music to go with it, and I don't mind an oversized jumper, which is brightly coloured, matched with a pair of skinnies but I really don't like the whole thing together. I am just bored of it now.

"Acid Trip
Neons Pop on the Spring Runways javascript:popUpTallImage('/fashionshows/stylehunter/slideshow/011807HUNT?play=false')January 17, 2007 – Paging Stephen Sprouse. Eighties nostalgia has inspired pouf dresses, power suits, and the neon palette that was the signature of the late New York designer. Highlighter yellow and chartreuse were the hues of choice at Dries Van Noten, Thakoon, and Tuleh, while a punky fuchsia electrified the collections at Diane von Furstenberg and Marchesa and tomato red spiced things up at Daryl K and Ports 1961. Emanuel Ungaro's runway, meanwhile, was a festival of fluoro. The best accessory for this color explosion? That other eighties comeback: Ray-Bans."

it's easy to look really contrived.

To my eyes 99% of 'street style' looks contrived, this to, I reckon all these kids listen to Hadouken! and Klaxons (nothing wrong with that, but..) and dress up in neon tights, 80's leggings and 'Klaxons are c*nts' tees, and think they look really cool. And in 2 moths they will be looking for something else to listen to and to wear. It is to fake, in my opinion. Or maybe I'm just to old (at 19) for this.

Street style is always a tad pretentious, at least it seems so to me.

see, i really like the klaxons music...it spoils it for me they're part of this whole silly nme led movement  in a while it'll be as embarassing as the garage rock revival of 2001 that only a few bands were strong enough to move out of intact.

like it as i've been into the electronic music subculture for years. but i am already dreading when it hits the malls and such and we see and army of rave clones.on the sheep who have barely thrown out their boho crap. ew.

Topshop is really milking the rave trend for all its worth, isn't it?

Also, on an irrelevent note, Topshop also declares long, loose, boho-esque print maxi-dresses the "it" shape of the season ...!

What happened to Prada, Jil Sander, Kane etc. leading the return of short, tight and body-con?
