Numero Tokyo Jan/Feb 2011 : Marc Jacobs, Katja and Kristy by Brian Bowen Smith

I like Alessandra's ed to a certain extent. The only things that bother me are the hideous make-up and her mouth.

I approve of the male models.:brows:

I wouldn't call this cover bad, but probably...uninspired? You have a picture of a designer with two models. Then, you have a heading and text. Nothing particularly bad about that, and nothing particularly good either.

Ale's editorial totally makes up for the cover. Outstanding!

I don't think the cover is too bad. I mean, ignoring the fact that it's a backstage photo, it shows some pretty common conventions in fashion mag cover design. I don't think it's a terrible idea to use a good backstage photo for a cover, actually - this one in particular is a little boring, but I don't think it was a terrible choice.

Alessandra looks amazing in her editorial (I almost didn't recognize her) and I adore the lighting, but I'm not sure how I feel about the male objectification.

lol, sex slaves

I meannnnnnn CNN went crazy against Vogue Paris when they did put dark skin make-up on Lara Stone because of the history of mocking black people and the slavery and I though it wasn't meant to be demeaning but here I think it's worse and this idea of using Alessandra in those types of shoot will always amaze me in the wrong way. But whatever cool clothes though
