I like her dress at Saab and shoes but yeah the belt is all wrong. Also, her tan seems less severe today...

It's such a shame that these girls are not as smart as Olivia... she may appear clueless on the show at times (maybe due to editing) but I find that she markets herself pretty well IRL. She's developping a fanbase as well as a public image based on 'style' and 'fashion' while making tons of connections. Thus, when she does decide to create something, she will have much support and credibility...(much more than say Whitney or Lauren).

Not as smart as her? I've yet to see any sort of solid accomplishment from Olivia.

I agree, she markets herself pretty well; she seems to be gearing more toward high fashion though that is very small market compared to the commercial one Lauren took (I've yet to figure out what and where exactly Whitney is headed towards). This avenue is what she wanted from the start after her disappointing trials of trying to fit in to the NYC socialite scene, it's great to see it working for her now.

However, I doubt she'll reap the benefits of a large fan base and in turn be able to sell things like Whitney/Lauren have done. Olivia as an mtv personality (which she is known more as) has yet to resonate with a wide range of people who are able to identify and relate with her. Yes, the girl is great to look at as far as style goes but I feel that is where it stops. She is far from being a household name; the city's ratings do not show evidence of a wide viewership, she seems to be quite distracted with whatever is going on around her which doesn't show her as the most efficient worker, IMO. I do however respect her for sticking to her guns as far as her opinion goes where Whitney's designs are concerned.

Olivia may have gotten her foot in a lot of doors and made great connections, she knows what works for her but take away the pretty clothes and what really is left? I'm sure that is the route you'd likely take but marketing yourself as a brand doesn't start end with nice clothes and attending swanky events with yummy bf, it's far more than that.
