TTH's style is incredibly chic! but i still prefer olivia's, mainly because TTH's style is a bit too quirky for a regular girl to imitate on a daily basis, whereas olivia's is so much more approachable. for a girl who works at the government and still wants to look chic at the office, olivia's style (during her early years) is such an inspiration but i have to say her latest outfits have been such a letdown. i was going through my olivia folder the other day and realized how much her style has regressed :'( i just hope she will stop trying so hard soon!

Thanks for the recommendation of TTH ladies! I've gotten familiar with her in the Garance Dore blog recently. I don't see a thread here for her.

my other style favorite that sometimes reminds me of olivia is joanna hillman...
she recycles pieces alot and her style is quirky but more wearable than TTH...she is less girly than olivia, especially her recent skirts/dresses style...
she recently did a feature for harpers bazaar where she photographed her outfits every day for 30 days...you can get a good feel for her everyday style in the pics...

I don't think she's ever heard the age old wisdom of "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It".

And those snake skin shoes are making me nauseous with the long front and the weird kitten heel. My eighty year old great aunt has a pair just like that and she wears them to fancy funerals.

Those shoes are a continuation of a theme she's been trying out. The boxy tops and the wide legged trousers and the ill fitted dresses are not working for me. And they aren't working for her either.
