Jessica is in with the Downtown NY Fashion Crowd, and she was on a few episodes of The City, I think she was dating one of the guys in Whitney's boyfriend's band...(Disturbing that I remember these things...) But I am sure she and Olivia run in the same circles, that's a pretty small world...

I'm going to wait and see regarding her blog. 15 writers may sound a but much, but we don't know how "big" it is. Obviously, it's not gonna be a very focused, personal blog so 15 might not be overkill at all.

However, the PR outfit is terrible from the waist down. I don't hate maxi skirts on Olivia, I think she generally manages to pull them off quite well (considering her height). But I'm sick off them and they have been paired up horribly lately.

Yesterday I saw the Project Runway episode in which she appears and let me tell you, she's one of the most arrogant judges I've seen sitting on that chair- it's actually disgusting. She criticized those who didn't do a great job in a way that way completely inappropriate, she was completely arrogant.

Now I get why some people can't stand her...

Oh wow that is terrible to hear! I didn't really believe her portrayal in The City because reality TV is so scripted and people say she's nice in interviews. Very disappointed to know that she really is a terrible human being.

^I was also quite surprised. She always seems to be smiling and she seems nice in interviews but she was really bitchy in that Project Runway show. Very, very disappointing.
You should check it out. I don't think I'm exaggerating, but since this is all a matter of opinion I think it's better to see for yourself so that you can reach your own conclusions, you Know?

^ I disagree. I thought she was blunt and honest. She was quite harsh with Anthony Ryan but his looks were heinous... I was really disappointed with most of the designers. I mean, it's the 70s! The 70s is such an incredible decade to work with and there were so many blah and plain ugly looks.

Blunt and honest are also ways to put her attitude if you don't want to make it sound bad. And even though I agree that the 70's was a great decade in terms of fashion and that they didn't do such a great job, I'm still conscious that it is all subjective. So because she doesn't like something it doesn't mean that she has to be as harsh as she was.

And you can still be honest without offending anyone, even when you don't like or agree with someone else's opinion or taste (which is what applies in this case). There are always better ways to approach things and I don't think hers was the best in any way.

Yeah, she was pretty harsh with her critiques of the designers. I wasn't that surprised considering her persona on The City but I was trying to be optimistic about her as a judge. I used to think Nina was harsh but now..

I watched it for myself and I disagree with you. I do think she was very hard on the bad oufits - but they were really bad. Also, seen in light of Nina, Michael and Heidi's comments and criticism, I don't think Olivia went overboard at all. I think, because Olivia is very interested in fashion and has a good eye for style - she had a lot of suggestions and criticism. In contrast to e.g. Rose Byrne (whom I'm totally girlcrushing on) Olivia just has much more to say. And I actually prefer this since she is a guestjudge.

Edit: I think the worst thing she said was something looked like a tent. A bit hyperbolic perhaps, but in comparison to Michael's expressions of disapproval or Nina's criticism about some guy's choice of fabric, I don't think Olivia was out of line. However, can it be said that the judges in general are pretty critical? I'd say yes, but fashion is a very b*tchy field of work. These guys are being primed for the real world, and that's just how it is.

I know that she only changed her skirt but I prefer this one that the other that she wore to Topshop fashion show (and of course, without the hat!)

Yes I love it better with this skirt and without the hat. She is such a lovely person in real life too.
