Bergdorfgoodman.com is absolutely horrible!
Their customer service is extremely shoddy and I have ordered from them 4 times and each time I have had my order cancel on me!
The first time was of my own will as I did not think I need the item.
The second and third cancellation happened as I did not have a credit card with a US billing address. Both times the cancellation just happened without any prior email or explaination. I had to personally speak to someone on livechat, go through the SAME frustrating cycle of providing them my order information before they would tell me.
I just cancelled my latest order, the fourth one as I was just so put off the service that I received.
This time the order was placed with a card with a US billing address but it was to be shipped to my hotel.
First time I went onto the web chat, the session ended abruptly on me.
When I logged back on and asked for the same guy, I was told that he was "gone for the day" in a mere matter of seconds.
So I talked to the girl instead and she informed me that some department was having trouble with my shipping address (my hotel) and needed my verification.
Once again, there no prior email requesting verification from me -I had to find this out via web chat or I'll never know what was holding up my order.
She also insisted that I add my hotel address as an alternate address with my credit card company to expedite my order, which I do not want to as I am moving into my new place next week.
The last straw came when I was left in my own monologue asking her if my order would reach me on time (I place the order last Saturday 06/25 and was hoping to receive my stuff before this weekend), there was no response from her and the session was abrupted terminated before I could even request for a transcript of our chat!
Makes me wonder if it was a technical glitch or did someone just do the internet version of "hanging up" on me!
I am just so mad now, such service is totall unacceptable from any retail store, much less a so-called reputable website like bergdorf.
I have decided to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere!
