Orange S/S 08

use a yellow orange (like golden yellow/saffron) and you wont risk looking too halloweenish ;)

I love the pale tangerine that Dries used there, so pretty and soft and seriously flattering on my skin... tangerine and mango and apricot and nectarine colors. i love orange so much.

I love this trend!
Anyone knows where can I find an Orange dress now days in stores like Mango, Zara etc?

Really love the combination of orange and navy blue, or orange and white. Orange is one of my favorite colors, so now I'll have more of achance to wear it!

looove the dries jacket in the third pic.. thanks for posting

Unfortunately you'll have to be patient now and wait...
Though I am pretty sure that these stores will be flooded with orange come S/S ;)

Fashion does move in cycles, doesn't it?
I remember a time in college, back in the early 2000s, when the stores were flooded with fuschia, yellow and orange too.
Oops, now you guys may have an idea of how old I am :ninja:

i love it at marni. the cuts work really well with it. its not too.. how do i explain it.. its not too bunchy and moving around and busy and all.

orange is such a happy color, thanks for sharing. Love those amuleti j's...

These pics are giving me the impression that orange is a lot more flattering on a variety of skin types than most would think. I'm a pale, freckly sort myself and orange has surprisingly been a nice color on my skin tone.

i like the more subtle oranges posted on this page..
the agnes b not so much just because it is SO bright

i think there are some pretty and wearable shades that can avoid crossing a look over to the halloween/jack-o-lantern territory :ninja:

i agree with princess though that we probably won't be seeing a whole lot of these orange hues in stores until spring/summer..

^agree
it's the bright orange that I would stay away from

I'm sure that if u want to start early with this trend you can probably find a lot of basic stuff in this color, like a plain t-shirt that comes in every shade will probably be featured in orange too

I bought a bright orange coat the other day.. wore it with my blue dress. I also plan on wearing it with purple tights, I love the colours.

I've always wanted an orange coat, once I saw this gorgeous orange trench at a thrift shop but it didn't fit quite right.. It reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in Charade.

I thought i would bump this thread since I didn't want to start a new one. But it seems as though these orange colors could be interpreted as fire. One of the elements of the four elements. We already have air with the transparency trend, Spike413 just made the Molton metal thread in which we have 'water' fluid liquid or whatever you want to call it. And I guess we have earth as well in the 'Tribal/multi-ethnical trend'...

I'm thinking this could be linked to the trend that everything has to be environmental correct..
We are going back to mother nature :p

I would wear it in stripes I doubt I could pull of full on orange. An orange bikini would be nice actually.

I am now craving orange dresses, light orange tops and an orange bikini, that would just be gorgeous and perfect for this summer
