haydn thanks so much for the compliment...i like your work a lot! the colors are beautiful, and the images have a very quiet simplicity to them..very poetic. a good photographic eye often has nothing to do with training. great job

i was partly inspired by bridget's photograph up there...and partly inspired by the lighting, and the colors.

Taking Polaroids Tips

So, when i come back from vacation, I'm probably gonna start to work on this whole thing, since i will lose some weight and get more tanned and stuff. So, i need some tips on taking these Polaroids. Do they have to be instand camera? I personally dont own one, or dont know anyone that owns one. Can it be regular camera? I read that its better not to wear makeup, because i dont have the most clear skin. Like, its smooth and everything, but i used to have acne that left red spots and stuff on my face. And only makeup can make my face look really nice. Thirdly, where do you have to take the pictures? Inside, outside, where? And, what do you have to wear? Like a few shots in pants and a few shots in like a skirt or something? And lastly, do you think i have 'the look' to become a model? I think i look better in real life, but look at these: (that is just too much blush  )

^ to send to an agency, I'm guessing :flower:

I don't know if this helps, but I think you might like to have a look at the polaroids thread. It will give you an idea of how the pics were taken / poses/ etc. that could be useful? :flower: hope that helps

It's best to have them taken against a plain background, inside i suppose. Wear a bikini and just take one face close-up, one full body front, a profile, a profile full, one full of the back of you. These are the basic ones my agency always take. I'm sure a digital camera would be fine.

^I agree^_^

good luck kween checking out the polaroids thread is a good idea tiffany:)

Your friend in the second pic looks modely.

 Modely? Whats that mean? Ya, maybe I should check out the polariods thread. I just have one question. I have backne. It's so disgusting. Like, little pimples all over my back. It goes away in the summer because of tanning, but i hate it. Would they sign me on with skin problems?? Thanx for the help!

It really depends on the agency, like if they see potential in you, they may keep a tab on you until it goes away.

mirra those are great, I like the thought and it's like I'm right there looking up at the sky (and getting dizzy :p)
