I think Photoshop is best when it looks like it wasn't Photoshopped. As much as people like to rip on PS, most of them never stepped foot in a darkroom. Most of the tools in PS are derived from old school techniques, like dodge and burn and hue, saturation, etc. I do think that if you spend more than 15 minutes on a picture, you took a bad picture. It all starts in the viewfinder and ends either on your screen or on a sheet of paper.

I still love film though, it's so unforgiving.

absolutely true. it's crazy how long it can take you to change something in the darkroom that you can get fixed on PS within seconds.

i love film too - working in the darkroom all day is so much fun, especially when you've got a mate or two there with you.
