You really see how much more refined and beautiful those McQueen dresses are. they are probably demi-couture but look much more expensive than the Murad Haute Couture dress.

...and half the jackets from that CDG collection to be honest.

It's a different colour and material, but the shape made me think of Lutz SS20

Kenzo 1986

I wonder if Marc has ever mentioned Kenzo as an influence, his colors and silhouettes (and humor!) often seem inspired by Takada... with good reason!

According to Cherie Balch of Shrimpton Couture, "the Lacroix [cross] was just a play on the original 1930s Chanel Maltese cross designed by Verdura. Verdura's design was a combo of the jewels Chanel preferred [from] her personal collection and a loose interpretation of the star of the Knights of Malta."

But seriously, that Lacroix sweater is now too iconic because of the Vogue cover and shouldn't be touched in my opinion; even if Chanel was the initial inspiration.

The Balenciaga ball gowns from Spring 2020 are quite similar to the ones Olivier Theyskens did for his own brand for Fall 2000...I'll get to post them soon

Valentino FW 2020/Bottega Veneta FW 2020

It was already vile from Daniel Lee to do the same sequin dresses he (probably) did for Phoebes last Celine show only two years ago, but now we have the same dress at Valentino as well. Plus, they're copies of Norman Norell's signature sequin gowns.
