The Carven dress was also on display in "Azzedine Alaïa - Couturier Collectioneur" at the Palais Galleria. The Margiela also has utterances of McCardell's "Monastic Dress" too. I've seen something else similar too from the 50s or so but I can't for the life of me remember where or what...

Hhhmm.. does this count in this thread? The runway theme for that episode was Cher and majority of the queens' looks were Bob Mackie inspired.
Cher and Bob Mackie are an iconic pairing.

Oh, I didn't see that. I just saw Plasma's outfit online & thought of Cher's Bob Mackie gown. I stopped watching this season after the first episode.

I don’t know if it belongs here as it’s not clothing but YSL Mombasa and the Bottega Veneta revival/imitation of it. No one cares about a stupid sardine or whatever stuck on it, the Mombasa beautifully showcased the marriage of refinement and ferocity of nature.
