Pale / Fair Skin - What Are Your Fave Products?

Vampires might disagree with you on that;)

Here are some samples of MUFE foundations, so you get an idea:

You rock! That holds some hope for me, as that 110 looks rather pale, although maybe a bit pink for me, but clicking on the hd link, apparently they do a 107 which looks really lovely and white. Oooh, I may have found my holy grail foundation! No longer will I have to be slightly yellow with an NC15!

^ MUFE makes amazing foundations! They are pro products so they really have coverage, last long and come in a very wide range of colors with both yellow and pink undertones. Plus they have really pale shades! I always had club kids, drag queens and burlesque performers stocking up on MUFE when I worked there :P
Face and Body- is a bit harder to make a full coverage, but it has a lovely dewy finish
Mat Velvet- is very full coverage and mat, you don't need concealer or powder with this one. It's my fav for photoshoots.
HD-is kind of a cross between the 2, personally I don't like it, I find it oxidizes on some people. It did on me and I don't even have oily skin! But I know a lot of people who swear by this foundation.

I would just suggest going to a counter and trying them for yourself, all the textures and finishes are very different, so it's all about personal preferences :D

On another note, I just bought Anna Sui's moisturizing foundation and I'm totally in love with it! It's more of a light-medium coverage....although I've heard you can build it up.
But the thing is, it totally just looks like you have naturally flawless, hydrated skin, it doesn't have that foundation texture on your face. It comes in very pale shades (I have P04) and smells like roses (which I'm loving) it's kind of expensive for a tiny bottle but a little goes a long way for me so I have no problem shelling out the $40. Plus the bottle is adorable. It's not a matte finish, but it's not really dewey either.....so hard to explain.

^ Anna Sui seems like a good suggestion. I went to their website in Taiwan and the foundation shades seems shockingly pale. The Moisiturising Fluid foundation in (B )00 and (E)99 looks really pasty in the show palette :D

Yeah Anna Sui has some very pale shades :)
B00 and P04 are the palest I believe, B ones have golden undertones and P have more pink undertones. E99 isn't a shade it's a highlighter/primer fluid that you can mix into foundation or use by itself to highlight. I totally thought it was a shade too until the SA poured a little on her hand and told me about it lol. It's in the exact same type of bottle and labeled as the moisturizing fluid too!

For reference, I'm NW15 in Mac and P04 matches me better :) Also the undertones in the anna sui moisturizing foundation seem to be much more subtle! I think I could wear the B ones too without getting a weird yellowish cast like Mac seems to do on me in the NC's.

MUFE 110 looks similiar to L'Oreal True Match in C1

i kind of want to check out some lighter powders for summer time. i typically dont like powders but maybe a MAC MSF Natural because they seem a bit lighter and just enough glow. i had it in medium dark as a bronzer but it got too dark -_- so i gave it to my sister and it matches her skin exactly lol so she just uses it as powder. i think it looks pretty good on her, not heavy at all or overly shimmery at all so i may check it out.

edit** or possibly the loose foundation if the coverage isnt too much

^The lightest color of MAC MSF was very yellow on me. In general, NW15 only works on me when it's a sheer formula, otherwise it's pale enough*, but not a good color match for my skin. NC15 just makes me look dirty. MAC doesn't seem to be consistent with color in all its foundation/powder formulas.

*Oh, but their new gel foundation was noticeably too dark in NW15.

^ THIS! thats why im scared to buy anything even if its recommended for NW15. im still undecided on whether to not to try the MSF stuff because its not even labeled by 'NW15', its just 'light'. im like is that NW or NC?! i heard its NW/NC/NW/NC or something as it goes up in colors but its hard to tell. plus since its mineralized veining, i have a feeling the colors will be inconsistent. its a shame because the finish is nice alternative to regular powders.

^^I have the loose mineral foundation from mac in light and I would say it is the same color as the studio fix powder foundation in NC15. It really is light and it gives nice coverage - just don't use the stupid sponge that comes with it, it's totally useless! :p Use a kabuki brush instead :flower:

i was just rewatching a youtube review. i think MSF Natural in Light is an NW so pink undertoned and the next up Light Medium is an NC yellow undertoned.

oo that sux, so its really is quite yellow(?)
i guess ill have to look around some more, lemme know if you guys know of anything similar to MSF Natural(i dont like loose powders/foundations too messy!)

^If it's positioned as suitable for NW's, you should test it all the same. Photos can be misleading, but your skin seems to have a different undertone from mine, so it might work on you. Just to give you an idea, most brown and yellow undertones look muddy on me, including eyeshadow and lipcolor. Even peachy pink blush sometimes looks orange on me.

true. maybe i'll take a look next time im by MAC, it couldnt hurt :)

im not a fan of brown shadows either, i feel like their so hard to work with because of the muddy factor. i get annoyed that Bobbi Brown still pushes yellow toned foundations, not everyone has yellow undertones and im not super pink that i would want to play that down. im okay with my skintone, not trying to change it with makeup. id hate the idea of wearing a full foundation that is the wrong tone then when im without makeup like when i go camping or swimming im going to look sooo different. my friend is a C2 in L'Oreal True Match so she is very very pink but she just uses for her undereye circles. in her case i can see why she may want to play down her over all rosyness and not use C2 all over but go for something beigier for overall foundation. my lips are pale pink so i stick to cooler lip colors like pink, purple-lavendars, blue based colors, or colors with high pearls. peachy pinks look good in the pan/in the tube but on me i feel like it dulls me down and looks more orange than pretty peach too.

^ i think its light but buildable. i found it non-cakey. its neutral in texture, i have normal skin though. so i didnt find it overly drying nor did i find it oily...which is my biggest pet peeve with foundations in general because if i needed moisture i would have just worn an oil-free moisturizer under it. edit** im not a fan of creamy-oily products.

so with flash photography there i still a translucent quality to it like even when i used a Neutral beige shade for foundation you can still see how pink toned i was. its got a glowy finish which i liked, im not a huge fan of matte stuff although i have tried some that is okay. i like the sheer stuff so my natural skin texture is still there.

but i will say this. i have changed my mind on how it photographs in pictures. it used to be okay now it feel like even though my old shade now makes my face look super dark in person(ugly demarcation and everything) it now photographs super light. same lighting same camera...no moisturizer or spf so i dont know why it photographs so weird now.

maybe since ive gotten paler in the past few months...i havent worn it as full foundation since like january/ early february. now since its light coverage when the flash hits my face you see how pale i am? does that make sense? its the only thing i could come up with since in person its too dark.

i was talking to my sister and we were considering MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation again. not everyday for me just for special occasions...for example im going out to Mother's Day din din on Thursday and got nothing to wear aside from concealer. im sure they will be taking pictures so i like to look more polished. from my experience in wearing SF Powder in the past it photographs nicely. i never got cakey with it but i definitely used a light hand.

Haven't checked out this line yet, but I'm impressed that Dior makes a foundation that matches Coco Rocha's skin.

Uggh, got deleted, here it is with source.

I know a bunch of have raved about Diorskin Nude Foundation. Apparently makeup artists are just as big of fans. Coco Rocha, Ashley Olsen, and Jessica Stam all wore it to the Costume Institute Gala and all have fairly light skin.

Hmm, if Coco can wear it, I should give it a shot. Good to know, thanks!

^That's what I thought too.^_^ I'm not quite as pale as Coco, but I'm closer in tone to her than the other two.
