My skin is very pale/fair, although my lashes and brows are a darker blonde.
I can't use foundations or powders because they tend to look too obvious, and so far I haven't really felt the urge to dabble with them......but I'm a stickler for eye make-up. (particularly Bobby B and Chanel)
I go for brown/chocolate mascara and liners, with emphasis only on the outer corners of my eyes, so as not to appear overdone. This opens and brightens my otherwise pale looking eyes (theyre a light blue colour). I also like to create a little upwards flick with the liner, too
I never apply mascara to the lower lids, it just makes me look ridiculous because my lashes are so thin and wispy there. A little pencil line from the outer edge only (not all across), then smudged to soften. Basically everything stands out a mile, so i have to be so careful not to go overboard.
I use nude/neutral, creamy eyeshadow only, but I admit that I need to experiment a little more here. And apart from a little concealer, that's about it, except for very occasional flirtations with red lipstick (a new arrival for me, and a whole new world!).
I always feel that there is an incredible lack of info with regards to paler complexions about cosmetics. Most of the 'how-to's' tend to involve darker toned, brunette (or dyed) models, with much more even complexions than my own.
My hair is a light, ash blonde, and although my skin is decent enough, nature blessed me with a certain transparency, especially around the eyes, which can look quite ethereal and attractive, but utterly dreadful if i get one hour's sleep too little. Blending tips for pale, rosier complexions would be such a bonus - if anyone can share a good source of info that would be wonderful!
On the plus side, I rarely have to invest in blush.....but I would highly recommend the Pixy line.
